I have been taking my pets to AVDH for over 20 years. Dr. Varga is a great diagnostician as well as surgeon. (I'm a surgical nurse, so I'm very picky about who I use for my pet's surgeries.) I like the fact that AVDH has an in-house lab, CT scanner, and ultrasound. They don't rush you through either. They often present alternative treatment options so you can participate in deciding what's best for your pet, which I appreciate. For complicated pet medical issues, I can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else.

We love AVDH!! Not only does the team treat our dogs like their own - they are responsive, easy to schedule with, have texting options, follow up reminders, and provide great care. From annual checkups, allergies and unexpected surgery they have helped us with it all. Thank you AVDH!

A visit to AVDH is like visiting family. They really do care about our pets and gone eaters mile to ensure their health and comfort along the way.

I really appreciate the knowledge and care provided by Dr. Sarah Kneupper and her team. My dog, Tippy, was recently diagnosed with liver failure. We had previously seen a different vet but were having difficulty finding an office that actually had an ultrasound in their office. Fortunately Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital not only has imaging available (ultrasound and a CT scanner) in their office, but also at very affordable prices. We were also able to make an appointment without a long wait. Our appointment went well. We were happy that Dr. Sarah invited us back as she was doing the ultrasound to show us what was going on as well as to comfort our dog. She provided us with recommendations and scheduled a biopsy. The biopsy procedure went well. Dr. Sarah took precautions to ensure that our dog could be safely treated and discharged. Throughout the process, the office was transparent and upfront about the cost (providing itemized list) as well as providing a copy of the lab work and imaging. While there may be veterinary offices in Austin who can take good care of your pets, I think few will have the facilities to provide the diagnostics needed when timing can be critical and needed the most. The doctor and staff are knowledgeable, courteous, and respond to questions quickly. They will treat your pets like they were their own. For me, it is a no-brainer to continue taking Tippy here for continued care.

Very soon after our arrival, we met with a Tech. She was very thorough in making notes for the veterinarian, who joined us after just a few minutes. Both the vet and the tech were very interested in the dog, and they even took him for a short walk to view his gait. They were very thorough in their evaluation, and provided a great deal of information about his health. So glad that I have chosen Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital for our vet needs for 25 years!

I had a great experience with Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital and a usually nerve wracking process bringing my anxious and quirky Siberian Husky in for medical attention. The doctor and technicians were very knowledgeable. They were also incredibly helpful and supportive during the appointment - particularly Paige the vet tech. Thanks again!
