Description People for Pets is a grassroots 501(c)(3) organization that was formed in 1988 with the primary purpose of assisting the Twin Falls Animal Shelter by improving the care of their impounded companion animals. For years, we have helped companion pets find new homes. Our staff and volunteers ensure these animals get care and loving attention while they are residents of our shelter, but we have so many furry friends that are in need of loving homes! I adopted a stray this week. The process was effortless with most of it done over the phone. The staff was exceptional. I had to wait a couple weeks to pick my little puppy up per the schedule of surgery. We have been home now for almost 4 days. My little guy is just fabulous. I have had several dogs from shelters in the past. They always have some issues whether it be men with hats, loud noise, etc. this one does not, which says a lot of the care from the shelter. Twin Falls should be very proud and lucky to have such a caring facility for our fuzzy friends.

I got my Lilly there when she was about 2 years old they told me when I got her 6 years ago on a black special for 20 dollars. She's been the best thing to happen to our lives. She prevented a snake biting my son when we lived down in Texas there for 10 months. She killed the snake. And was perfectly fine after. No bites on her at ALL. She's my son's guardian angel. If she don't like you, you don't get near him. She's 8 years old now and still feisty as ever. My son calls her mama's as a nickname but I call her minlilly. Thank you again for this masterpiece of an angel. And the big guy is my baby boy I got from you at 10 weeks old 7 years ago. I named him Jesse James. He chirps when he meows it is the sweetest thing I have ever had the privilege of hearing in my life. And he's such a super sweetheart. At 10 weeks he was really big for his size, and everyone kept on passing him over for tiny cute fluff buts, their loss my biggest gain. He is now 18 lbs of solid muscle, NOT an once of fat. Thank you for helping me find my forever family members. As that's what they are.

Very friendly staff. I found my absolute best friend there. He's a Black Labrador and is likely the best dog I've ever had. Whatever I paid in adoption fees is the smallest fraction of what he's worth to me. It's amazing what other people discard. Thank you so much Twin Falls Animal Shelter!

They told us it's first come, no holds on adoption. We arrived, walked our choice, ready to adopt her, then NO. Donations? Don't. UPDATE: THEY MADE IT RIGHT. WE ADOPTED OUR GIRL

Amazing animal shelter. I’ve gotten all 3 of my fur babies there and they were spoiled rotten during their stay. It is also awesome that they spay all their animals and have a animal food pantry for people in need. If you can be sure to adopt and don’t shop. Below is Odin, Twinkie, and Loki all adopted from here.
