Description Reid Veterinary Hospital is one of the longest standing veterinary hospitals in Oregon and the longest standing AAHA certified hospital in the State. We are a fourth generation family practice that was started by Dr. George F. Reid in 1934. His sons, Dr. George R. Reid and Dr. Richard D. Reid continued the tradition followed by Richards’ son Dr. Tim Reid, the current owner. Dr. Tim will be joined by son Harrison following his graduation from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine this summer. For over 75 years we have taken great pride in our reputation and consider it an honor to serve those in Albany and the mid Willamette Valley.

Really great staff and a great experience. They were able to help me right away. All I needed was some dewormer for my kitten and it was a great price! $11 for dewormer is a steal!

Quite literally saved my cat. Was considering euthanasia, but Dr. Harrison Reid and associated staff took the chance to give me options that somehow suited my means. My cat had to do a week long stay and they gave me the updates I needed every morning. Even provided me with everything I needed for aftercare. I would move mountains for my cat and it felt like the staff at Reid Veterinary did just that for us both. Just an amazing place, I can’t sing high enough praises.

Everyone here is very kind and mindful of nervous animals. My dog is a bit nervous at vets, and he was accommodated accordingly by every person he interacted with. Both my dog and cat were shown compassion and kindness at their appointment. Staff is calm, kind, well mannered, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend their services.

All the staff is so friendly! Dr. Sawyer Reid is absolutely one of the most kind, caring & understanding vets that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He listened to my observation's of my pet, used it to help him diagnose and come up with a treatment! He understands the best care for our pets is combining the owners knowledge of the pet with his professional knowledge, it’s magical! We felt so good after leaving, I will be returning for all my future vet needs!

We had an emergency with our puppy Sadie on a Saturday night @ 8:30 and we contacted Dr. Harrison. He came to his office to look at Sadie. And then the other Reid Doctors Tim, Sawyer, and Jaclyn came in to assist with a surgery even through their surgery center is under remodel. We got excellent care for Sadie and compassion for my wife and I. Thank You all Doctors Reid and Reid Veterinary staff.

I was visiting from out of state and my dog got sick. They were able to get me in same day for an emergency visit. Dr. Harry Reid was our veterinarian and he was so exceptional- I had to write a review. Ultimately, my dog had to be euthanized and originally I wanted to have a service come to my home to do the euthanasia; however, Dr. Reid was incredibly kind and I felt so comfortable with him that I decided to do it at the office with him. If you want a vet that cares about your sweet pet like you do- he is a perfect fit. He’s knowledgeable, personable and has a heart of gold. My dog was with me for 14 years and I only wanted the best for him- and I truly believe he got the best end of life care I could give him with Reid Veterinary Hospital.
