Adopted Tessa, she has become the best dog o have ever had. She is truly a blessing. The staff were absolutely the best!
Adopted our dog Clarence (8yo Lab) here in early February. He is such a wonderful addition to the family! If you are looking to adopt a dog, this place is worth a look!
I just moved to Albany and needed to get my dog microchiped (costs $20) and registered (can cost anywhere from $10-$15). The officers helping me were so amazing! Very sweet, kind, and respectful. They loved my dog and treated her with a lot of care and affection.
My grandson Mitchell is blind and has a prosthetic eye he is also autistic. The people there were more than understanding, they helped him find a companion that matched up with his needs. They were informative and very polite. Thank you all for your compassion and understanding. You are truly appreciated.
I got my new puppy there near Christmas time 2023. They were super helpful on all my questions.
As a worker at another shelter, I love working with Linn Co. Dog Control! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the facility is clean, and the dogs are well cared for. Other shelters are sometimes difficult to deal with, possibly due to feelings that we are in competition, but Linn County always glad to work with us. They are a county-funded facility, which unfortunately means that most people think they have plenty of funding and rescources and may donate other places, but that is not the case. LCDC has to raise funds like the rest of us to make things happen for the dogs over there, and to stretch their limited resources as far as they can go! Kudos to LCDC for doing what they do; we're all on the same team after all!
