10 out of 10 would recommend. Headed back to to take my dog to receive her lithium again I have the craziest Australian cattle dog in America, but I love her and she is the best
Before my dog passed, I would have given NAAH 5 stars. I’ve been taking my pets to NAAH for five years, and the vets have been amazing. They have gone above and beyond for my dog who went through different types of cancer and my cat who had diabetes. I appreciate all they have done, and I was so glad their hard work helped my pup live a long and happy life. I had to take my cat who passed to an emergency vet, but I assumed NAAH would be as compassionate and understanding when it was time for my dog to pass. The vets, vet techs, and receptionists involved that day were very sweet, and I’m thankful for that experience. However, what followed was unacceptable. I looked at my dog’s paw print after I got home from picking it up and was ready for an emotional experience to help with the grieving process. However, I did not get that at all. I was given a poorly done paw print that looked as if the vet tech didn’t care and/or was too lazy to try. I understand being in a rush or busy, but I feel as this is the one time you should take your time. It is one of the few items the pet parent will have to remember their pet. When I called, I was told that their vet techs are not professionals. This is fair; however, I don’t work in a field anywhere close to the veterinary field, and I know I would have at least put more effort into making a paw print for a parent who just lost their pet. I also received an amazing paw print for my cat when he passed, and they were also not “professionals”. Thankfully, my dog had not been processed at the cremation place yet, and the receptionist was able to get me an order of two professional paw prints. I have no idea what I would have done if my dog had been processed. I did not receive an apology about the situation. I had to call them the next day, and while on the phone, I asked if it was possible if I could get an update on the situation. The photo hadn’t been given to any of the vet techs like they had mentioned the day before. I finally got some apology, but I was pretty much done with the experience. After going to them for five years, it was honestly a slap in the face to experience this, especially when you are already trying to deal with the emotions of losing a pet. I honestly don’t know whether to start taking my other pets to another vet or to just avoid NAAH when it is their time.
We love NAAH! They take excellent care of both of my dogs -- but have been so amazing with one in particular. Even though my dog Riggins has been going to them since he was a puppy, he developed truly severe vet anxiety. A few years ago, the vet who was seeing him at the time recommended we bring him in for consistent "happiness visits" -- just short visits where they give him treats and love and show him around / desensitize him. We did those pretty consistently for over a year, and it made an enormous difference. He is still anxious, but he goes in tail wagging and happy to see them. They have been so flexible and supportive in their care of him, and we truly appreciate it. In general -- their office is efficient and responsive, and everyone who works there has been very kind. Thanks NAAH for everything!
They seemed to be more money motivated than pet motivated. Not once did they say Hi or pet my pup who had been going there for 6 years prior to me homing her. I thought it would be good to take her to where I thought she was comfortable. I left due to price and comfort level for my animal. I will be taking her to my vet where the prices are normal and they greet my pup before myself.
She has passed but the old lady cat of our family & we had as positive as possible experiences with the services & staff here in recent years (through to today). Definitely recommend! They are responsive, efficient & professional but also kind & make an effort to relate to their human clients. I have also appreciated that they seem to handle their scheduling well. (I've had difficult long waits & other issues at a couple different local veterinary offices before.)
It is a place I feel safe taking my dog. She has a lot of anxiety with meeting people but the professionals here take the time to let her acclimate and are very kind when she feels overwhelmed.
