I have the utmost highest praise for Hill Country Animal Hospital. I brought in my GSP after leaving a n overnight care facility in which they recommended me putting him down before I left. Albeit he was in bad shape and couldn’t get up on his own and things weren’t looking great and I didn’t disagree with their diagnosis. Within 20 minutes of bringing him in they diagnosed him with an extremely rare instance of tetanus. They were able to source the antidote that day and by the evening he was up and walking again. A month and a half later he is back to his normal ways and I was able to hunt him a week ago (picture below). If you want the absolute best care for your pets go to Liberty Hill Animal Hospital they leave no stone unturned. I’ve sang there praises to everyone that I know. They performed a true miracle and I will forever be grateful. Many thanks to the team at Liberty Hill Animal Hospital!
Tito, my adolescent Lab, is a happy camper at Hill Country Animal daycare. The dogs are divided into appropriate groups so they can play with dogs of similar size and temperament. Also, the price is reasonable and it’s close to home!
I had a small emergency situation yesterday because my cocker spaniel went to great lengths to get into some milk chocolate. We are new to the area in the last 6-months and I had not established a new vet. Hill Country Animal Hospital was amazing. I of course didn’t have an appt scheduled, but they were able to work us in and address the situation without a long wait. The new patient set up was simple, easy, and straight forward. The front desk also called my old vet in Houston and got a copy of the records. Everyone was warm, accommodating and friendly. I will be using Hill Country Animal Hospital for all of my future vet needs!
They were good, but not thrilled by the experience. It’s important to me that staff members identify themselves when they walk in the room. I was sharing excessive information with who I thought was the doctor. He seemed rushed and was just there to take my dog back for testing. It wasn’t until the very end that a woman doctor came in with antibiotics to talk with me. Everyone was nice.
Be prepared to pay the price. I took my dog in to be neutered- he was cryptorchid, so I knew that it would be more expensive and extensive- however, I was absolutely flabbergasted when I picked him up with $1.1k+ bill!! I understand, in hindsight, that it is my responsibility to inquire about the pricing prior to surgery at a private clinic in an affluent area. I'm sure it is the same cost across Austin clinics. Nevertheless, I feel as though the staff (when I made the appointment) or even the vet tech the morning of the surgery could have made me aware about the potential cost. I would have gladly taken him somewhere outside of town. Again, shame on me for not checking the cost in an area of town that doesn't consider $1.1k+ a serious gut check. I am absolutely sick over it.
We were very pleased and thankful that you all got me in with our dog Lucy last Saturday. You did a thorough examination and determined she was not in dire straits. The medication prescribed has helped ease her pain and she seems to be her happy self.
