The Philly Goat Project has been offering amazing outreach events for the past 2 years at FDR Park and all around our community. We enjoyed their Philly Goats Gruff at Palumbo Park for the DVAA Future Fest. In January, we and hundreds of other treecyclers of all ages brought trees to be nibbled on by adorable, well-trained goats. Goats much prefer the trees to their usual hay. The project is located at Awsbury Farm in the Germantown area of Philly. This non-profit offers a variety of interactive programs with the goats. We joined in the Saturday goat walk (it is drop-in). Volunteers gently guided visitors in how to lead the goats on a leash around the grounds. They also offer goat yoga, grazing, goat education and therapy, with donations accepted. Check out their website. There is free street parking, but no parking lot.

We had so much fun! The goats are full of personality and are wildly entertaining. We went for a goat walk and got to take pictures and pet them. Everyone working there was friendly and the whole experience was full of energy. Perfect activity to do during covid. Can't wait to participate in goat happy hour when its time!

Went to an event with my 6 year old and my 4 year old. They absolutely loved petting and walking the goats! I learned a lot and it was a fun experience for me too.

I work in Student Affairs at a major Philadelphia university and organized a private visit from the Philly Goat Project for our undergraduate and graduate students and hospital staff. From the very beginning, I was incredibly impressed by the overall efficient process of submitting an event request through their professional website and the clear and quick communication from their team. I highly recommend other colleges and companies organize a wellness event with the Philly Goat Project! Goat yoga is a concept that has become popular over the years. However, goat yoga is very restricted and becomes complicated with large groups as people want nothing more than to cuddle with the goats and take amazing photos! The wellness event allowed for greater outreach and education! Karen and her incredibly kind team of goat handlers assisted all participants by answering questions, taking photos, leading tricks, and overall encouraging engagement and fun for all ages! The goats were calm, sweet, clean, and litter box trained! We attracted crowds of students and staff for the entire 2 hours! This visit was well worth every penny especially knowing the money goes directly to their nonprofit programming reaching children and adults in need! Our students and staff had an absolute blast and we are 100% going to make this an annual event to help our students de-stress during exam season!
