The veterinarians and all the staff are WONDERFUL!!! They always take great care of our baby boy. They call me to update me and answer all the questions I have. They do extra and spend as much time as needed to help. The groomer Laurie is great as well, she is the one we trust with our dog. I appreciate all you do!

We needed emergency care, because our female Akita, was very ill, and I suspected pyometra. Time was of the essence. Our regular vet was overbooked for several days, so they recommended Northern Oaks Bird and Animal Hospital. The entire staff at Northern Oaks was wonderful. They got us in immediately, and performed the emergency surgery right away. Everyone there was professional, yet warm, caring and kind. We felt very comfortable leaving our precious girl wit them. We would not hesitate to trust them with the care of any of our dogs.

Usually I’d let God handle it all but sometimes I feel like things need to be said to help others along the way. This is how my experience with Northern Oaks Vet was today in short. This was all because I needed my puppies 3rd round of shots and they were due today. I called yesterday they got me in next day but said I had to pre pay and pay $75 for a wellness exam to be seen which I totally understand since they had never seen him. I get there and all the front desk how much it would be to have his nails trimmed and his ears checked and they said “it’s all included in the exam” We finally get called back and see the doctor 45 minutes in and she was super knowledgeable and took her time with us but looks at his and says “we’ll run a swab to test his ears so we know what’s going on in there” I say “ok, great”… They give my puppy his shots and then say we’re going to take him back to trim his nails and clean his ears out…. Another 30 minutes goes by…they come back give me medicine for his ears and a “free” trial heart worm pill and tell me my total is $324 (mind you I prepaid $74)… I take a deep breathe and say “How did my bill go from $198 to $422”?? The vet tech tries to explain but he he notices I’m pretty upset so he finally turns the screen and there are all kinds of extra fees (posted below). I calmly explain I think it’s pretty sad that you guys feel it’s ok to just add things to peoples bills without even ONE mention in the process! He looks at me and can tell I’m even more upset and say’s “ yeah, I guess we dropped the ball on that one or could have said something” …I say ABSOLUTELY, that’s A LOT of money… so he offers to go get someone to help further. The manager I think Victoria comes in and tries to tell me what was said in the exam when she wasn’t even in the room!! She then tried to explain that these things aren’t included and I had to get to the point where I was shaking with frustration after explaining and telling her to put herself in my shoes and tell me how she’d feel to finally take off the biggest charge of $120 to look at my dogs ear wax under a microscope. I still paid another $227 so it was still a $300 visit because I just wanted to get out of there before I came unglued!!!! It TAKES SO MUCH to get me to this point but these people are NOT TRUSTWORTHY people AT ALL!!!! I looked AFTER I got home and below are just a few of the reviews from others claiming nearly the same thing! I always look at reviews but this was a last minute decision to care for my puppy because my other apt. last weekend was canceled😞 God is always watching and he’ll give justice better then I ever can or will and that’s where I’ll leave this is in his hands but it’s not easy🥹🙏✝️

Dr. Byrd is the nicest and most gentle vet that I could ever ask for. My baby is very anxious and nervous in general and everyone is very patience and understanding. Highly recommend.

Dr. Bird really knows how to handle birds. She diagnosed our bird's issue and took care of part of the problem for us and told us what to do to correct the reason for the issue. Thank you, Dr. Bird. Her assistant was very good with handling the bird as well. Thank you.

I was very pleased with Dr Diaz and the entire staff. Pierre’s problems are caused by allergies. Dr Diaz set up a plan to address his allergies plus he asked I return for a follow up appointment. Allergies are not cured immediately and the plan we are following and the follow up appointment are necessary to help with his allergies and keep him comfortable. Thank you, Dr Diaz.
