The people who work at this First Pet location - every single person who works here, are nothing short of superstars! Our dog has refractory seizures. Some of them are really terrible, and don’t respond to any of his meds - including his emergency rescue meds. When we take him to First Pets, they always respond quickly - and are always very empathetic and caring, and make sure our dog and our needs are addressed. They not only offer emergency services, but regular vet services as well. They are compassionate, skilled and simply the best at customer service delivery on every level. I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone at First Pets; you’re all so appreciated! (Yeah, our husky is pretty darn cute!)

STILL waiting for a call from a manager to discuss my pets visit with 1st Pet. I almost lost my dog due to their negligence. The tech never did any vitals on my guy, never even touched him. She documented that she had done them and they were normal. What’s even worse is she left her stethoscope in the room with us for close to two hours and never took any animals vitals. Not to mention the vet yelling at a dog that was waking up from a procedure, he was yelling at this dog to shut up extremely unprofessional. My dog was sent home that night lifeless. I took him to his normal vet in the morning and they sent us to VCA immediately. He was then hospitalized with a feeding tube. If you want your pet to die take them to 1st pet

1st Pet Mesa takes excellent care of our 3 cats! Everyone is extra patient with our anxious girl, Mina. By the time we leave she is a purring happy kiddo. Our other two are not as vocal but usually not excited and they are treated equally well. We have been given the option for a calming medicine prior to the visit, which is great for nervous kitties. The dedicated cat rooms are quiet and calming and we are into a room quickly and do not spend much time in the lobby. Everyone including the front staff, doctors and techs are caring and pleasant. I feel like they really do all they can to help your pet and offer all the testing and imaging needed. After each visit we get a call checking on our pet and making sure they are okay. Mesa 1st Pet really is worth it!

Our beloved dog had a steep and swift decline a couple weeks ago over the weekend, so we took him here to be put down instead of going to our usual veterinarian. Everyone was remarkably kind and caring, and let us take our time saying goodbye to our old boy. But what really stood out to me was that a few days later, we received a card with handwritten notes of condolences from the staff. They had never seen us or our dog before, but it really made us feel like they cared about us and our loss. Thank you for taking a difficult, sad experience and making sure we all felt comfortable and cared for.

Our 18 year old Cat Rocky had to be euthanized, and this staff went out of their way to be kind and caring thru-out the process, even though it was 8pm at night. Our normal Vet closed at Noon that day. We even received a staff-signed sympathy card from 1st Pet a few days later. We were touched by the total experience. Thank you to all of the staff there! You have earned our Business for our remaining cats. It will be a huge relief going forward knowing that 24-hour care is available at our time of need.

1st Pet gave my pup the best service when she was bit by a rattlesnake. They gave her superb care and were prompt at taking care of her from the time I came in the door until I picked her up the next morning. Thank you 1st Pet for also loving her as well.
