Description P.A.W.S.'s mission is to find every dog and cat a secure, loving, lifetime home. PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a no-kill rescue. We are 100% foster based and 100% of all monies goes to the dogs since we have no payroll or overhead. We are #1 adopter for Petco in the State of Arizona and have been #1 for numerous years.

This is the 3rd pup I have gotten from them. They are an incredible organization! If anyone is ever looking to donate, this is the place! 100% of all the money donated goes to the dogs. Everyone works as a volunteer.

I adopted my little Betty from PAWS 8 months ago, and she has been such a wonderful dog! I saw her info online and texted the contact with questions, which were answered promptly. Their process involves going to the adoption event. It was a little chaotic, but also well-organized. Volunteers moved throughout and were able to answer questions. I really appreciated that they make sure the dogs are going to a home prepared to care for them forever. If two homes qualify, they do a lottery for fairness. They do not adopt puppies to homes as an only dog, which I understood upset the other couple interested in my dog, but rescues are not there to provide puppies to the public, but rather to ensure puppies have the best odds at a great life. (I think this is the issue referred to in Peter's review). PAWS has checked in on us regularly to make sure she is doing well. And she is! She is such a sweet dog and was clearly well-cared for in her time at PAWS.

We were very excited to adopt a puppy we had been looking at for over a week and drove an hour to an adoption event. When we got there the lady told us the dog was already adopted, which was fine. My girlfriend was visibly sad then the lady told us if we adopted 2 we could have her. The entire thing just felt wrong and unethical. Seems like they are more focused with getting as many dogs out of their hands as possible than re-homing to loving families.
