I can’t say enough good things about this dog rescue! Poquita Paws has incredibly caring and dedicated people that work extremely hard to save pups in need and find them their perfect homes. They take the time to properly vet and learn about the animals they take in to find suitable matches for their lifestyle and medical needs. Poquita Paws makes sure that each dog under their care is healthy, happy and ready for a new beginning. Whether they are strays, at risk of euthanasia, or owner surrenders, this amazing rescue has been so helpful in saving numerous pups over the years. I love fostering for this rescue and sharing just how caring and compassionate this rescue is. They go above and beyond in helping animals in need and are a great example of the rescue community ! 🩷✨

Wonderful experience. We found our perfect dogs and the process was smooth as silk. The owners were incredibly helpful and made sure our immediate needs for information and supplies were met. It is clear they seek the best homes for their rescues. Highly recommend!

Amazing rescue! They have helped many in need, including special needs dogs and dogs needing medical attention. They properly vet the dogs and take the time to get to know each and every dog before adoption. They work to find the best fit between dogs and owners.

I cannot express how thankful I am for this rescue! They introduced me to my best friend and I was able to see how much they genuinely care about the animals in their care. I foster and volunteer for a lot of rescues, but poquita paws is different and you can feel the love pouring from them. My best friend, her siblings, and mom were saved from a hoarding situation. Her mom was truly terrified and dealing with PTSD. I got to see how patient, kind, and understanding the rescuers were! The universe is truly blessed to have people like them! They answered every question when it came to food, being spayed, dental, etc. Their concern is ALWAYS about her. They let me call or text with questions, as they have more expertise than I do! They are AMAZING! Cannot recommend them enough.

Wonderful rescue who is dedicated to helping animals in San Antonio! They do not shy away from senior dogs with chronic issues and dogs who needed extensive (even urgent) medical care, which earns them a gold star in my book!

Back in 2014, my kids and I adopted our first pet dog. Having had cats my whole life, I was nervous. They contacted me within a couple of days of submitting my application and arranged a meeting with our Clover right away. Clover had been shot and had laid down to die in front of a convenience store. Poquita Paws cared for her and showed me such compassion as a new dog owner of a dog with special needs. I don’t think she would have survived, much less flourished, without their compassion. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
