The welcoming feeling I received at this SPCA recently was incredible! From the cleanliness to the care each animal receives five stars all around!! The staff are all true animal lovers doing the best they can. Such a tough job to ensure every pet is happy and cared for. There is a thoughtful adoption process they do to spend to match pets with their right forever homes. Visiting this SPCA showed me the importance of animal adoption as they really house and care for every single animal as their own. I Highly recommended this location for potential pet owners!

I've been looking into adopting a cat and the staff here were fantastic with answering all my questions about the process, what to expect, and suggestions on keeping my new furry friend happy and healthy! I can't imagine the staff here have an easy job with what they see, but they've all been so friendly and helpful! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Heavy Dose

They are in charge of Animal Welfare yet they only care about household pets. STEP DOWN. You’re working against the actual people who care for animals, the ones who do the dirty work to make the world a better place for those who can’t speak up for themselves. There’s enough shelters for household pets, maybe do your job and look out for the innocent souls who were doomed from birth that live and die in the horrendous conditions of animal agriculture.

I have visited this shelter on several occasions hoping to find the right cat for my family. Every visit has been a good experience so far. The receptionist is always quick to greet us with a smile and eager to tell us about the animals available. When I asked about visiting with the dogs, I was kindly told that its by appointment only but she did show me their adoption summaries and offered an application - she was very helpful, though I wasn't seriously looking for a dog. Will definitely adopt a cat through them.

Anyone who helps animals is in my good books! Super friendly ladies while we worked on creating artwork to help the animals. SUPER CUTE window paintings at the BC SPCA (BCSPCA) in Abbotsford 💗 Created a very pet friendly divider to keep the cats from glaring at the bunnies on the other side (very stressful for the bunnies) all fixed! Turned out great! Loved our little furry helper too!

If I could give this location more than 5 stars I would. The staff were incredibly friendly and were able to answer all of the questions I had. It was such a fantastic experience. I refer everyone and anyone I know to the Abbotsford location. They are doing utmost and definitely aren't receiving the praise that they should be.
