This place is amazing!! The people that attend to these animals are the most gentle and caring individuals! My beloved dog of 13 years recently passed and I felt this overwhelming need to fill that hole in my heart. When I arrived that day the gentleman that assisted us was truly wonderful and we met the most amazing dog who came home with us that very same day. Amazingly he has been potty trained previously because we have had no accidents, he is wonderful with children, he is the biggest lap dog I have ever met and we are totally in love! He is now living his best doggie life and I am so grateful to the Metro East Humane Society for being there when I really needed them!

My son and I visited the shelter yesterday. Katy did a wonderful job working with us to learn about our family and home environment to determine the best dog for us. She really cares about the animals and we will be back!

Very professional place, we found a dog we fell in love with and brought our current fur baby in to meet him. We ultimately decided it wasn't going to be a good fit and opted for a puppy instead, it felt like fate as we are currently traveling and this puppy had just been brought in from our home state of Arkansas. We have had this sweet puppy a month now and couldn't love him more. If you're like us and have a lot of love to give and want to share it with a fur baby, this is the place to go! The big lab was ours already, the little one is Jude :) they love to cuddle
