I have taken my dogs to this business over the course of about 2 years now for various services-grooming, daycare and boarding. I have not had bad experiences with the daycare or boarding, my issue is the grooming. I currently have a goldendoodle (about 65 lbs) and a shih tzu mix (about 15 lbs) and they are both just over 1 year old now. My dogs are very kind, loving dogs and they behave pretty well in whatever situation I throw them into. Their first appointment for grooming here was in May of this year, I remember them saying that Tucker had a hard time with the appointment (he tends to be a little shy and this was his first grooming ) and that Charlie had a hard time as well (he had been groomed at least 3 times prior) and they recommended that I bring the dogs in every 2 weeks for baths to get them used to being there. I dont know about anyone else-but no one I know takes their dogs in every 2 weeks for a bath.. Their next appointment was in June, they said they both had some mats but that they overall did very well with the appointment and I was very happy with the way they looked. (Different groomer) Their next appointments were September and they said the dogs did awful. She recommended that my little dog have medication when he comes in and to bring him in every 2 weeks to get his nails trimmed because he peed on himself when she was doing it. They also said my doodle did awful and he was so scared of the dryer. (same groomer as first appointment) Honestly, after this appointment I was ticked and I did not want to bring them back for grooming anymore. However, I scheduled them an appointment about a week and a half ago for them both to come back for grooming today at 9am. When I got there, the groomer was grooming anther dog and just stared at me like "why are you here", then proceeded to put her mask on and come to the counter. She asked me who I had today and I said I'm here for Charlie and Tucker's grooming and she said I dont have them on the schedule today. I asked why and stated that I made the appointments online. She said I rejected them because I already had 3 doodles today and I wouldn't have enough time to get them all done. So I said "ok so when can I bring them in" and then said never mind because I was so angry!! I drove all the way there, with my dogs, took my dogs inside, back out to the car, back home and I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT MY APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED!!! I'm sorry but if you have a business, you need to communicate better with your clients. Needless to say, I will NOT take my dogs there for ANY service and I already booked another grooming for them. I was going to give them a FOURTH chance but this was the icing on the cake for me. I understand some people have great experiences here, but we have not.

Took our cat Benji in for a haircut. I thought that they did a good job but Ruby didn't like the back of his head so she trimmed a little off. We waited while he was being done since it was a 35 minute ride there. We forgot to ask for a bath so he was done pretty quickly and the price was only $70.00.

I've been using the daycare and boarding service for a few months and I would highly recommend them. My pups are well taken care of, when we took vacation for spring break my mind didn't worry one time if they were okay, we even got update emails with pictures on how they were enjoying their own little vacation. Even after the trip I see myself using their services to just give our pups play time with their friends.

Our 10mo old babies (Pug & Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) have been going to Delaware Pet Stuff since they were 7mo old for daycare & socialization per recommendation from my sister. This weekend, they had their first slumber party and it was such a relief to pick them up happy and feel they were with familiar faces, loved & well cared for while we were away. I love when we get report cards and details about their visit. Our Cav, Bow, doesn’t get too excited (barking, whining, talking, etc.) unless we say “Do you want to go play with your friends at school today?” and then she goes nuts! Happy going in and happy coming out. I’m also hoping for help with training in the future because they can be CRAZY 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️. Thank you so much for your patience with this nervous dog mom and taking good care of our little fur kiddos!

Long Story Short: Apparently when I showed up at 10:50am this morning for my 11am appointment, I was told my appointment was at 9am. When I went to pull up my confirmation I was quickly told that they have had "many" issues with my dog being groomed. I have taken my dog to this groomer since I have had her (6 years now) and have NEVER had a bad report. In fact, she has gotten so good about it, she has started letting us groom her at home so I only take her in about once a year for a full groom with all the works and pay extra. The groomer they assigned her to today however, has never wanted to do her when we bring her in as a walk in to do her nails. Today I was told multiple stories about having some video (that I nor my husband) have ever seen that she was flailing around on a table and over the bar about to hurt herself. I asked to see the video and they told me that it was a few months ago (my dog has not been here in over a year) and they no longer had it. Finally when I was talking with the groomer she said she showed it to my husband who picked her up last and when I said he didn't she then retracted and said 2 young girls maybe my daughters had picked my dog up the last time....Um no, sorry I only have a 9 year old daughter. They couldn't show me any video or proof that my dog was the issue however the groomer mentioned many MANY times that my dog may hurt herself so I decided it was probably a good idea NOT to leave my beloved pet with someone who may hurt her. I was able to look at my records of the loving video her last groomer left of her very last groom.

I have been taking my dogs to DPS for 4 yrs now, daycare, boarding, bathes they do it all. Stuff is very friendly. When the dogs are waiting at the front door of the house because they want to go to daycare I know they are treating them right.
