We adopted a Schnoodle puppy from Friends of Upland Animal Shelter about ten days ago. We had visited several shelters and this one was nicer than the others. They have other animals besides just cats and dogs separated in different sections. Staff was very nice but they seemed short staffed, so getting the paperwork done took a while. They are providing vaccinations as part of the adoption so we will be going back two more times. Recommend you check them out.

So thankful for them, they give you everything you need. They listened to our fears of the different shelters we have been to and the horrible experiences and they were very patient with us. They are connected with an animal thrift store which is super nice and had everything we needed for our new cat. Thank you for the new member of our family Patti (shelter name was Jaime). I adopted the sweetest and smartest cat from this shelter. She has quickly become an integral part of our family for the past two months. Every moment spent with her has been an absolute joy, as she is a true sweetheart. The shelter staff was incredibly generous, providing us with blankets, toys, and treats for our new furry friend. They even wrote a note about her, describing her as having an abundance of love to give. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful companion and to have had such a positive adoption experience at this shelter!

I have dealt with this particular shelter numerous times for different reasons. I have never adopted a dog through them but if I were going to, I would definitely look at their dogs first. They work hard to treat them for illness and injury and give them every chance so that they are not put down. I have raised money for this shelter through my dog group on Facebook. We have over 1000 small breed dog owners in the group and they are all dog lovers. My group collected money toward the care of the dogs in the shelter. I have also gone to them for vaccinations and dental care for my dogs, and they are very reasonably priced. I think they are one of the best shelters in our area.

Jul 13, 2024 As a black woman I feel uneasy because I constantly tried to make a meet and greet with a specific dog. They treated me terribly, and disrespectful I called multiple times throughout two days and still no meet and greet. When I called to set up my meet and greet the first people to go before me didn't show and so it was finally my turn to have the meet and great. Soon after time passed,I called they told me the dog was unavailable because he had been adopted and "I was beat to the punch." Which is what the receptionist told me and I was highly upset, and I feel as if they have a hate towards black people

Very large facility, staff and volunteers are incredible helpfully... I was able to adopt my little girl Nila from them, I am internally grateful...
