If you do not know what is wrong with your pet, then do not bring them here. We have had 3 different pets here(2 different aged cats and a bearded dragon) at different times with different problems seeing different vets, and every time without fail they tell us they do not know what is wrong and give us the same 3 options: x-ray, bloodwork, or antibiotics. It is not the job of the pet owner to guess which option is the best, and yet they do not give information about how best to address any perceived problems. The reptile specialist Dr Johnson Richard who has seen our bearded dragon for two different issues, is particularly apathetic and gives zero effort into diagnosing a problem or seeming knowledgeable about reptiles. This place will happily take your money without saying anything other than "wait and see if they get better"

Fantastic experience today at this hospital. The staff here was so incredibly nice. Starting at the front desk, the smiling receptionists greeted me as soon as I walked in through the door. I was checked in within one minute, and was placed in the room with my bird within five minutes. The vet tech, I think her name was Jada, was funny, friendly, and so sweet to my bird. She even told my bird she was pretty. Brownie points with this daddy :) I was loving this place already. Then Dr. Ho did the exam and he's a total pro. There were certain key words I was looking for and he nailed all of them. This was the expertise I was looking for. Outstanding doctor. Then upon checking out the front desk was attentive and kind, yet again. I wish this place was a human doctor's office so i can make an appointment for myself. This hospital exceeded my expectations and very much worth the 45 minute drive to get here. I'm telling everyone about this hospital!

I’ve been here twice and they are always professional, empathetic and overall an amazing staff. The first time was for my newly adopted kitten whose sutures from the spaying had opened up & she developed a hernia. The doctor who operated was very kind. The second time visiting was unfortunately because of our senior german shepherd, who was having trouble breathing. I called 5 hospitals and none of them were able to help. One of the hospitals didn’t even have oxygen available. Until I called VCA Central and they immediately told us to come in. Sadly, it was our dog’s time to go, she was 15. The staff was thee very best during this hard time & made our last moments very special. I highly recommend bringing in your furbabies! Thank you VCA Central.

Do not take your sick pet here, you're wasting your time and your appointment time means nothing. If someone comes in for an emergency, you're looking to wait at least an hour and a half past your scheduled appointment time. The only reason we were even able to see anyone was by asking the front desk, and even then your waiting 20 mins each time before anything gets done. The staff was friendly, and I get there's not much they could do, but the fact we had wait that long for the doctor to look at my hamster for 5 minutes before he was done, was just frustrating. It's not like we had all the time in our day to be there. Overall we wasted 3 hours for what should've been an hour visit. I originally gave it 1 star but I'm changing it to 3 stars because at least the staff was cordial and they seemed to care when I inquired about stuff.

Thank you so much VCA Central Animal Hospital, my son's hamster was sick and dying, my young son wanted to know if a doctor could help him survive, I already knew he was going to pass but I had to take him in so my son could here it from a professional. The Doctor was really passionate and sweet in regards to the situation.. explained it to my son in terms he could understand that a 2 yr old hamster is in his elder yrs and these things are common, our hamster had a tumor and was dying.. he gave us options so we took the one that put him to sleep and we took him home and and buried him.. I'll definitely come back for any animal care again... thanks so much..

I have nothing bad to say about this place… They saved my boy!! In June, Panther ended up having Bladder stones. We had rushed him to an ER vet who charged us over 3k just for Exam, X-rays, a Catheter, and overnight hospitalization… they were quoting us 9k for surgery. We were devastated because we couldn’t afford that. We had him hospitalized overnight and the next day we began calling other vets to ask if they had space to take his case and how much it would cost. We had bad luck with over 30+ different vets in the LA Area. I was scared until I seen VCA Central. This was the last vet on my list to call, so I called. The receptionist was absolutely amazing and understood my stress about my baby. They were able to take Panther’s case. We immediately picked him up and transported him to VCA Central to which they took him in straight away. Dr. Falco was very informative about how things would go and reassured us that he would be in the best care. When it came to pricing, we knew it would still be expensive as frenchies need to be intubated a certain way, but their staff did the absolute best to work with us on the pricing. We knew our boy was in good hands. Within hours after dropping him off, we got the call that everything was successful. We were relieved, our baby boy was going to be just fine. The next day we were able to pick him up and the techs there were great and informed us on aftercare as well as a possible diet change for him to thrive. He is now almost fully healed and thriving. VCA Central saved Panther’s life and I can’t thank them enough for that.
