Spectacular, very very smart humans who will do their best for your pet. They're also super kind, and do a great job making sure you understand all the meds and things so it feels less chaotic at a really difficult juncture. They've helped us with several of our dogs and the standard of care has been exceptional. They are so patient with all my questions and give great documentation. The opthalmologist helped us save our pup's eye! They are wonderful and have been very trustworthy. I'm happy to take my pups to them

I brought my senior cat with a straight forward urinary tract infection. I clearly told the doctor I didn’t want to do a bunch of tests and all I really needed was antibiotics. She had three different urinary tract infections in the last two years and they all resolved with antibiotics. They convinced me to get a urinalysis which I did. They were having difficulty obtaining a urine sample so they asked the radiologist to try to obtain the urine and “he saw a mass”. They brought me back into the room and told me my cat had a mass on the her bladder and needed all these extra tests and a formal ultrasound. At that point I was devastated and agreed to have more test. I did explain to the doctor that my cat had a lipoma on her belly, but she said that the “radiologist knew the difference between a lipoma and a mass.” Two hours later I get a call from the doctor letting me know that they did not find a mass on ultrasound or x-rays. $1300+ later I’m picking up my cat who just has a UTI and needed antibiotics. Ridiculous.

We rushed our Corgi here after she had eaten a half bag of hot chocolate mix. The vet was SO great. Since she wasn’t showing signs of toxicity, we ended up bringing her home for observation for the night instead of keeping her there. She ended up being completely fine. We are so grateful for their expert assessment and recommendations to do the right thing for our pup.

Took my senior pup of 16 here as he hasn’t been feeling well. ( stopped eating his regular food 5 days prior, we’d make him chicken but he’d only eat bits & threw it up shortly after. ) I explained that to the receptionist, whom was really understanding. I asked about possible euthanizing because my intuition told me he was giving out, and his life was comming to an end. I’ve spent every second I’ve had the last 16.5 years with my boy, he lived a good life and I felt selfish keeping him going & letting him suffer longer then he has to. We arrive and we’re seen by a nurse, I explained to her what was going on and my gut is telling me my baby is tired & ready to let go. She took him to the back to “ examine “ him. Came back to let me know that he ate a piece of chicken that she fed him and he seems “ okay “ I said I completely understand he ate the chicken but also explained he WILL throw it back up & hasn’t been keeping his food down. She then proceeded to bring out a piece of chicken to feed him IN MY FACE as if I’m saying I didn’t believe her. She then proceeds to say “ I’m not saying your lying but he’s eating the food im giving him just fine “ at this point I’m baffled by my whole overall interaction with this “ nurse “. I kept explaining I believe it’s time, you can physically see it in his weight & his day to day actions the last 7 days. She proceeded to tell me they can’t put down a dog without doing blood tests etc. which totaled out to $1200. But she insisted he’s fine and to maybe try their brand of chicken. ( lol ). I said “ okay “ She sent me home with hope that my boy would be fine. With the hope that I still have time with him. I bought a can of their chicken, and went home. I would also just like to note that; my whole interaction with her was very uneasy, she even made a comment “ can’t believe I’m here this late ughh! “ He threw up his food the next morning as usual, along with bloody stool. My baby boy passed the following night after my visit. I’m so sorry mommy let you suffer longer then you had to sweet boy. If your intuition is telling you, your fur baby is ready to let go PLEASE refer to Berkeley Dog & Cats hospital where they will respect your decision.
