I'm so impressed with all of Whatcom Humane Society. Recently, we needed their wildlife rehabilitation services. Just like all other aspects of WHS, this part was thoroughly professional and helpful. We know that the woodpecker we took in has his best chance of survival there.

Blue heron in point roberts was injured. Wildlife fish and game officer Taylor drove from Bellingham to pick her up. We were so grateful, because we were told we could not cross the border with injured heron.

Wonderful people. Great space. They need more man power, volunteers, funding, and media to back them.

We’ve come across four or five beautiful injured birds all different in their own perfect ways and breed. They have all been within a few miles radius of our home over the past few years. This place is hands down everything you could hope for in a wildlife rehabilitation center along with the kindest hearted people in this world working with/taking care of each and every animal that crosses their paths no matter the species or time of day. We’ve been bringing any and all injured wildlife found in roadways and on side walks to them first when they were located further down mt.baker highway directly after the little bridge if you were heading north east. Now they’ve relocated to a little tucked away slice of paradise where the animals are safe and unbothered by daily human life and sounds/dangers. It’s three quarters of the way down smith road a few blocks passed where smith runs through everson goshen road on the left hand side of the road if you’re traveling eastbound down east smith road. :) we’re actually just waiting for them to open up once again today as well because we fortunately came across an injured chipmunk on the sidewalk while walking our dog yesterday evening that was in shock looking like a kitty had most likely grabbed it a few times. So fingers crossed this little guy will be back running around soon enough. I’d take a picture of the sweet little thing but I don’t want to disturb/stress him out anymore than is necessary to get him help especially while he’s still experiencing shock while his body works out moving through the healing process where he’ll need as much stress free rest/warm and untouched time as possible if he’s going to be able to recover. Please give any help to this center whenever you are able they truly are miracle workers and devote themselves to helping all creatures selflessly.

I brought a baby Robyn hear that had been plucked out of it's nest twice by a crow. They were so nice and reassuring to me. Beautiful place, I want to go back and have a tour once the bird flue clears up. 🙏❤ awesome place wonderful caring people.
