This place is super small, but I got everything I needed because it is extremely organized. When you come in make sure to enter the fuel line from the freeway like the sign says. Pull up too the wash or fuel bay. If you're doing a wash park, your truck while in line to pay for your ticket. The attendants will tell you what bay to pull up to. If it's just a washout, head to the left behind the building and stop by the scale until the garage is clear. Once the garage is clear, you can pull into the garage forward. They will wash you out then you have to back out and go the way you came. There is parking across the street. The showers are free, and super clean which i have never seen in my 3 years otr. The people there work really hard and help you navigate the tight space. Really well done!!!
I went to the pet adoption fair on saturday. As a senior citizen on a retired income, I want to give a big shout out to the people that take care of these animals. My animals were spayed, neutered and chipped. Also Given their shots. This gives me a huge Jump Start on being able to maintain proper medical care of my two animals that I adopted yesterday. This is such a big help. I just want The staff and the public to know that I noticed. š©·š
In the long run, I have always supported the shelter & the work they try to do, despite having one bad experience with a cremation. (staff was very cold & unprofessional) Today's experience led me to leave a review. For context: across from my house is a three story apartment building. It is currently empty and being renovated in some way. In the neighborhood there has been a stray mother cat and three kittens. Today I went to my car & heard desperate meowing. I was horrified to see the mother cat leaning out of a second story window above a sheer drop. On a third story balcony was one of the kittens. My assumption is that they entered while people were working in the building yesterday (Friday) & now they are locked in and separated. The officer I spoke with was understanding, professional & explained that all he could legally do is leave a note. I understood completely and was thankful for the help. The officer who arrived knew nothing of the situation. When I explained he simply (and with a rude tone) asked what I expected him to do about it. When I repeated what the previous officer had said, he just looked at me, wordless. Eventually he said that the renovators would discover the cats on Monday. (despite the fact they didn't notice locking them in Friday) I told him I would be happy to write the note myself, that I'd hoped something official would've had more impact and thanked him for his time. Clearly put out, he finally said he would leave something, and surprisingly did. At that point I left the situation, feeling very disappointed. I understood the legal restrictions, but to be unwilling to do the bare minimum of your job.... Pretty sad. I pity all cats in St Joseph.
I adopted a dog from them which was a parole and puppy dog. We have never been so happy with this experience. All the staff was so willing to help with everything.
Iām honestly in shock. Animal control came unprepared. If I knew he didnāt know how to do his job Iād have it done for them before he got here. So this is why the animal population is horrible in this town. Simply donāt care about the animals. Just there collecting a paycheck. Thanks for nothing.. Also if youāre hiring for animal controlā¦ please let me know. I can do a much better job and I actually care about the animals not just the paycheck.
Absolute worst awful place Iāve ever been in my life!!! Never has an animal shelter before told me to take 2 day old kittens āback where I got them fromā which was an outside basement window frame . I really hope the front desk lady working right now finds a career that doesnāt involve people. I honestly just canāt believe the interaction I got. So much for being an ANIMAL SHELTER! Wish I could do zero stars
