Probably some of the sweetest people I’ve met. They were so understanding and kind and when I dropped my chinchilla off to them, they asked a lot of questions to make sure she was comfortable and welcome. I knew she would be in good hands just by how much attention she was already receiving, and everything they told me.

I am beyond thankful to have found Debra! I had emailed her about my 2 hamsters , i had told her about how they are suffering from stress due to new living arrangements and i was torn as to what i should do for them. Debra welcomed them with open arms reassuring that they will be under the best care with her. As sad as i was to have to let them go i am very confident that they will be so much happier in her care. Thank you Debra for making this hard time easier to bare.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My boyfriend and I called yesterday evening to see if Debra could take in our sweet gerbils. I’m allergic to the gerbils, sadly, and one of them is ill. We couldn’t find exotic veterinary care within 2 hours of here, nor did we have anyone to take them in for us. Debra welcomed them into her home without any hesitation. We dropped them off this evening. I bawled the entire time, but I have complete certainty that she will care for them and pamper them in a way we’d never be able to. She and her family comforted me about having to give them up, and they assured me none of my gerbil’s illness was my fault. Debra has 40 years of experience with exotic animals. She already had a large habitat set up for them, complete with a heat lamp. She said she planned on giving them a new wheel as well. She immediately knew what was wrong with my gerbil and assured me that her family would do everything possible to treat her. She promised not to separate the gerbils and, if the ill one does not make it, to find the remaining one a new companion. I’m heartbroken to leave my babies, but I have complete peace in knowing that they will be overwhelmingly loved in their new home. Please consider this rescue for any of your exotic pet needs. You’ll be met with nothing but compassion and reassurance. Also consider donating supplies and/or money. They don’t ask for anything, but I’ve never seen a rescue more deserving of donations.
