Description Established in 1997. Animal Emergency Center was the first full service after-hours veterinary emergency hospital in southern Nevada. It was formed by a collaboration of a large group of local veterinarians so that appropriate after-hours care could be offered to their patients. Animal Emergency Center is conveniently located near Henderson, McCarran Airport, and the Las Vegas Strip. We are open whenever your primary care veterinarian is closed. We are open every night and 24 hours on weekends and all major holidays. We offer compassionate emergency care for your furry family member whenever your regular veterinarian is closed.

Visiting from Texas and our beloved family pet got real sick and we had to let him go. The staff were AWESOME. They showed the utmost compassion and treated him with love and respect. We were able to spend as much time with him as needed and were never rushed. This clinic is highly recommended.

Had to put my old man down here. It was a bittersweet moment. He was gone, but he didn’t have to suffer anymore. The staff did an excellent job with every aspect during my visit from initial entry, medical diagnostic, consultation, euthanasia, and clean up. A cremation service was offered, and a memorial package was supplied within a week. Thanks for everything.

I cannot recommend them enough. Our beloved pup got really sick out of nowhere and Animal Emergency Center was recommended to us by our vet. We took her over there and were instantly taken care of. She was there for 4 days and all of the staff were so kind to our whole family. They gave us regular updates and anytime I would call they were happy to let us know how she was doing. She was in isolation with pneumonia but anytime we wanted to see her they would allow us to gown up and go back to see her. Both Dr. Schlaich and Dr. O’Dea were so helpful and walked us through the entire process. They were realistic about the diagnosis but could also tell when we needed a bit of hope. Perfect bedside manners. You can also tell how much everyone there wants to help all the sick animals. Unfortunately, we had to put her down (not any fault to the vets) but Dr. Schlaich and the entire staff were so kind and warm and helped put us at ease when making that horrible decision. If I ever have a sick pet again, I am immediately going here. Thank you to everyone at Animal Emergency Center for all of your love and attention you gave Biscuit.

Unfortunately i had to bring my kitten Sandwich here to be looked at because he was unknowingly sick. They broke the news to me that kittens that young normally dont make it through these types of situations even if we threw everything we had at it. They were very honest of the situation and very calm and relaxing. The doctor who administered our euthanasia made the process so fast and painless for my sweet baby boy. And although i miss him dearly, i am so thankful for the staff here. They made a horrible situation the best it could possibly be and for that i am so grateful of this facility.

This ER is amazing! Yesterday was the second time I had go rush my puppy to. I went there in June and Dr Joel Farnsworth was such a great soul. Last night again Dr Farnsworth & Dr. Justin Cardwell took such care of her . The technician was also very nice and explained to me the two ways they could take care of my baby . Both doctors went thru blood work, X-rays and medication with such attention. They really try the best they can to help the animals in need . My babe means the world to me and I’ll be forever grateful for this place and its staff . Thank you thank you !!!

We really appreciate the quality care this office gave us. Our dog experienced a terrible episode late on a Friday night. Our town had no available vet in the middle of the night. We drove 2 hours to this location. They helped us with the difficult process of putting our pet to sleep. They handled everything in a kind & professional manner. We are very grateful for all they did to get us through this difficult process. Thank you for being there.
