One night cost us over $4,000 and a critically ill dog. Our 2 dogs slept in their urine. They smelled like urine when we picked them up. Our boxer developed a cough a day later. A visit to the vet revealed kennel cough. However, it progressed so quick, and a follow up visit required bloodwork, imaging, and a 4-figure vet bill about Raider being in very poor condition. My fiance and I had to take off work and take 24 hour care of him with meds and nebulizer treatment. We were absolutely heartbroken. The crazy part is that our dogs were set for individual play - meaning they had NO interaction with any other dogs there, and they STILL got this sick. Later, we found Bordatella in Raider’s PCR. He is vaccinated for it. As frustrating as this has been, we are deviated for our dogs and have a hard time forgiving ourselves for putting them through this. UPDATE from owner's response: The vet bills - one says estimate, one says invoice. My fiance and I chose to take 2 weeks off work and go the outpatient route. Raider has been to the vet many times with no issues, and not just prior to his visit at your resort. He has also never been to a dog park. I asked you to not contact us unless it's to refund our stay or help pay our vet bills (neither has happened) as you continue take absolutely zero accountability and search for any other excuse, and we don't want to hear it.
Truly such a great place if you’re considering daycare or boarding! The staff is WONDERFUL. They treat my pup like their own and I genuinely feel comfortable leaving him with them. To me, that’s absolutely the most important aspect. They are also affordable and will feed your pup as well as have cameras to check in! Could not recommend them more! ❤️
My fur baby had an amazing 2 week stay. OMG!! The facility, the pack leaders and staff were amazing. I am sooo thankful and grateful that they took very good care of my baby. Major made soooo many new friends. He really needed this. Thanks APR for caring for my baby away from home. We will definitely be back.
A great place to take your pet for day care of over night boarding. The staff is friendly and professional. I wouldn’t take my pup anywhere else. Also, they email you a report card of your pets stay. They upload a picture of your pet playing and give you a play by play of how they’re doing at day care / boarding, that’s probably my favorite part about Adventure Pet Resort. And affordable! Can’t say enough! Love them.
I’ve been bringing my dog here since he was a puppy. Everyone that works here truly cares for the animals. My boy loves coming here whether it’s for day care or if I’m boarding. They treat the dogs and cats with respect. When I board, I love receiving the daily report cards. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. Thank you to all who take part in looking after my boy.
We booked our pets here for the first time and it’s a bit pricey. What was good is that they checked in often and gave us updates on our dogs. What I was not expecting is that you get a 24 hour window to pick up your dogs. For example we dropped our dogs off at 5am so since we came back two days later thinking we were early, at 4pm two days later we were charged 5 dollars each hour you’re considered late. That was another 100 dollars! We won’t be boarding here again since this wasn’t disclosed on the website or upon check in or anywhere! They sent a small checkout paragraph about it later and we feel tricked into this.The owner wrote a rude reply and instead of sending us an email or trying to fix their issue they make a post on google to call us out on their shady business practice. Disclaimer about the resorts strange considerations of a 24 hour period should be clearly stated. Why didn’t any staff contact us about the time? Who drops off their pets at 5am and makes it back before then from a trip? We came back the same day and the resort has the audacity to completely blame the customer? No apology or trying to make it known to their customers the rules. You hide these in fine print and in after thought emails after bookings to make extra money. So rude and so unprofessional.
