Description Stone Mountain Pet Lodge was built in 2005 in Blaine, MN. The 23,000 square foot building is situated on a 10-acre site surrounded by woods and wetlands, giving it an “up north” feel in an urban location. Stone Mountain offers dog, cat and exotic animal boarding, doggy day dare, dog and cat grooming, dog training and a full retail store for dog and cat food, treats and pet supplies. Lodging is available 365 days a year. Our lodging business cycles in a way that is similar to a hotel, with our busiest times occurring on weekends, holidays, spring vacation and the summer months. Stone Mountain Pet Lodge added Doggy Day Care in 2009. It's a great way to give dogs socialization, care, and exercise while their owners are at work.
Great staff!! Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our dog loves going to doggie day care because she sees all her little friends. She plays hard and sleeps well when she gets home. We know she's safe there. 😊
Stone Mountain Blaine is awesome! Our 2.5 year old lab Max absolutely loves going to see his friends at doggy daycare and he’s there probably 15 days a month. All the staff are great from the front desk/retail folks to the daycare staff that wrangle the insanity! Needless to say, Max comes home worn out and ready to sleep 😂😂 We’ve had nothing but positive experiences over the years and don’t hesitate to leave our crazy lab with them anytime we head out of town. They really care and take great care of all the pets they watch.
I brought my cat Linus for overnight lodging in the atrium room at Stone Mountain Pet Lodge in Blaine, MN, while we were out of town recently. I also paid extra for some cuddle time for him. I tried calling that evening to get an update on Linus but since it was after-hours, it gave an option to go to voicemail but for some reason it was saying it was the Brooklyn Park location before the voicemail message so I didn't leave a message since he was at the Blaine location. I really wish they would give more communication or a report of some sort to let me know how he did. I was disappointed that they don't take photos either. For the price I paid, I would've expected at least a photo or a report of his stay at the very least. Because of the little bit of information I received, I'm not quite sure how he did or if he got much attention, ate well, or played much. It's hard being away from my fur baby, so I really wished I would have been informed more in detail about how he did during his stay. The staff seemed fairly friendly, though.
This is the first time I have left my fur babies since I got them. 6 and 4 years ago. I was very nervous. My dogs were very comfortable going with the caregivers. They were in great hands. I highly recommend Stone Mountain lodge when you need to board your fur babies,
Do NOT send your pet here at any cost. Our dog was absolutely neglected in that facility for 7 days straight. They did not follow any of the written instructions provided (they rushed us at check in and never added our written instructions in the system) and did not wipe his mouth after eating or drinking for 7 days straight. We picked him up and he had WARTS all over his mouth (the vet said this was from interacting with other dogs - we had to pay EXTRA to keep him contained and separate because he’s not neutered so HOW did he get warts from other dogs if he was contained?) and if he was contained, it was from negligence from staff. We had to call to check on him while we were gone - they said he was completely fine. We picked him up 2 days later and he had warts all over his mouth and bumps all over his body. The manager saved face while we were there and said he’d work with us with a refund/contribution to vet bills - it took him a week to get back to us only to say it wasn’t their problem and wasn’t taking any accountability. There is one thing that is true. We dropped him off with no warts or bumps, and we picked him up with warts and bumps. Something happened in that facility. Do not send your pet here. It is unclean, you pay $850 for a week of care for them to do nothing special. And their poor customer service with no empathy and resolution was the gravy on top.
They always have availability. I feel like they take on more dogs than they can handle and the staff are inadequately trained. Several times my dogs have come back to me with their harnesses on wrong causing them to choke. Both of my dogs come home EXHAUSTED from the anxiety of being boarded there. They have lost the dogs toys/personal items several times. We didn't get any notification until after the fact that our dog didn't keep any meals down. We were not impressed.
