Everyone is so compassionate and the training I received was incredible! I had a week of Orientation & Mobility. My trainers were Rod, Mandi and Hannah. I loved them all as well as the food and service staff and office people. Up most respect and care was given to all of us the week of 6/16-22.❤️ I never went without anything. This Organization is so needed for those of us who are struggling to learn new coping skills to get around on are own in life. They also only take private funding from organizations such Lion’s Club. No government funding whatsoever! No idea how they manage to be so impeccable?! Yet they are! I hope to return again soon! ❤️
My experience was awesome. I recently went to guide dog training there and graduated with my first LD Tim Tam . Everyone there at Leader Dogs for the Blind was so wonderful. The food was great. You may hear that it’s like a family , it is completely true. Thank you Leader Dogs. —- LD Tim Tam and Kandis( Candy) Stahmann
It's amazing what this people do for the blind persons. It's marvelous what those cans do. Hurry for them all
I used to volunteer here. I loved it. It is a wonderful place to volunteer. The dogs are well taken care of. The staff is terrific. I love seeing the puppies. The place is clean. They do great fundraising events. I love playing with the dogs. They truly care about their volunteers. The dogs are very well trained.
Leader dog paired me with the most wonderful and sweet sensitive dog. He has such a personality and he loves to work. He takes such good care of me and i love him so much. I never want to be without him by my side.
I’m a puppy raisers on my six puppy. I love everyone I’ve met, the help we get with our questions, the staff and volunteers. The puppies are a lot of commitment and work but also the love of our lives. Our hearts hurt when we bring them back but to see the clients and dogs matched and the love they share makes it worth it. I bring in a puppy, and walk out the door with a new puppy, and another year or more of commitment. But I have the highest reward, I walk more, keep my weight stable, or loose a bit as needed, do things I wouldn’t do, take my puppy places I can’t take a pet, and would be alone shopping, and doing some of that running. Puppy raising is not for everyone as it is a daily commitment and lots of time teaching a puppy in what can be its biggest year of training but the puppy will always teach me new things and steal a piece of my heart ❤️..
