Description Our mission is to help the abandoned, stray and discarded pets of our community, with the goal of reducing the animal population and clearing the shelters. We provide medical care and vetting to pets in need as well as spay/neutering before a forever home is found. While finding them homes we provide a loving and safe environment in one of our local foster homes or at our Adoption Center. At our Adoption Center each pet has individual time outside and once tested they can interact with other dogs in a daycare like setting. The pets receive basic training, socialization and grooming until their perfect family is found. Each adopter will be screened before they can adopt from us as well as we like to find our animals the perfect fit!
I recently attended a pop-up event hosted by Pawsitive Impact Pet Rescue, and while the idea behind it was great, my experience was frustrating. I brought my two children, ages 5 and 8, who were really excited to meet a puppy. The staff, including a woman named Karen, allowed them to spend about 30 minutes with the dog. The kids were very friendly, and the puppy responded so well, giving them its paw, licking them, and staying by their side even when others came around. However, after they had bonded with the puppy, Karen informed us that they don’t allow families with young children to adopt puppies and only recommend adult dogs. I completely understand if there are policies in place, but this should have been communicated before letting my kids get so attached. It was heartbreaking for them to hear after having such a sweet connection with the dog. Overall, the event could have been much better with clearer communication. I would suggest that they make their policies known upfront, especially when it comes to young children and puppies, to avoid unnecessary heartbreak. It would help families have a more positive and informed experience.
Amazing people! Volunteers who show up every Tuesday to help dogs get the proper vaccines and shots they need for a very discounted price. They even chip your PO ets as well as give all the necessary shots for under $50. Plus they have a food drive for animals as well.
i went recently to check out the adoption process and the place was poorly maintained. The scent of dog was really strong ( it wasn’t a normal shelter scent it was almost sour and stung our noses and throats ) and the owner was rude. she was very prominent on me putting a down payment before seeing the dog itself. place needs to be checked for health regulations for the dogs aswell.
We got our sweet boy here and it was a nice experience. Our puppy is healthy and perfect, would def recommend. I have a few friends and family members who adopted from here too and they all had a good experience as well.
The volunteers are amazing. They try to give as much information as they can and even a decent guess at how old the dogs are (it's not an exact science since they only predicted by what the teeth look like) some of the dogs come from kill-shelters so of course they won't have the full history. The animals are in such great care.
Very good experience. My new puppy is wonderful. Everyone is so kind and generous at pawsitive.i highly recommend this place to everyone.
