Wow! Thursday, I learned my kitty had serious intestinal problems. By Friday, 4pm. OSU had performed surgery! Amazing. They were so kind and understanding, too.

My french bulldog baby was in ICU for 2 week's and from the moment I walked into that building, they treated my dog with the utmost care and love and compassion. They were absolutely amazing. I cannot thank all of the staff at OSU enough for everything they have done for my dog and the support and care he got while in their care.

My girl Maddie has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. It is heartbreaking to see her go through so much...all of the blood draws, the chemo, the various infections caused by a deficient immune system. Not to mention the 4-hr drive we have there and back for each appointment. But she is a trooper. The nurses at the OSU small animal clinic are terrific. They are kind, caring, compassionate. The care my Maddie receives is very good. I do wish I was able to stay with her through her treatments but that isn't allowed here. The cost of services is significant particularly given this is a teaching hospital. Sometimes their veterinarians are doing a rotation through different departments including oncology so, unfortunately, you aren't always dealing with the same doctor or even one that has much knowledge of your pet beyond what they've read in the chart.

Worst for Reproductive breeding management! The prices for c-sections are going up drastically. They also quote you a price and never end up with that price it's always way higher!!! Numerous times I have had stitches come out on my females after c sections. One repair ended up with two more stitches popping inside. Did surgery on a puppy without my authorization!!! , Almost killed my one female by giving her hormone meds she had a bad reaction and passed out twice, they had no idea there were side affects despite me calling them. I had to call my regular vet who said to stop giving to her and she immediately got better. Also you better have a calm dog because they practice drawing blood multiple times on multiple jabs, students are nice but it will cause your dog some stress and discomfort . Have had semen over spun and killed by Dr Strickland who can have a horrible bedside manner. . They gave my newborns plasma without my permission as well and charge you. I'm No longer going to use them as I have had bad experiences with every C-section. Have had Multiple stitches come out causing hernias. This is also happening to other breeders in the area I spoke too. Osu is double what other vets are charging. unfortunately they force you to use the whole breeding package or they will not do your c section. Makes no sense it's a teaching school so prices should be lower than regular vets because they literally practice on your pets, sadly prices are doubled now. My Last visit Forced to sign a waiver I would not sue them after all the negligence and the surgery they performed on my one puppies without my knowledge causing her stitches to eventually tear later. She now needs an expensive repair. I could of sued them and I wish I had now. This vet has cost me thousands in damages. But I was forced to sign a waive when my dog got mastitis because they did not give her antibiotics after her c section and spay.

Awesome place for a sick animal. It's the animal veterinarian school. I recommend getting your vet's referral there. You will need that and you doing the contact for appointment, etc. If you go there,expect to spend the day as they hsve the personnel and equipment to do testing, surgery if required, cost can be high but you get a whole bunch of attention for your sick pet. Tbey have a large and small animal hospitals.
