IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET/FAMILY DONT TAKE THEM HERE. My dog died because of their inabilities. I’ve waited 2 months to post this. We took my sweet Labrador in for what seemed to be prostatitis. He kept getting worse, after every time we took him in. The vets said he was fine… they had 5 different opportunities and they took our money and essentially killed my baby. He died within a week of cancer they could have seen/ prevented. When we called right before we took him in because we were worried about a mass on his side, the idi*t at the front said to stay home. He died 4 days later from that mass bursting. I got multiple phone calls from each vet covering their @sses after he died. I mean the day he died and the day after. Didn’t even send a sorry card… disgusting. The last vet to see him said “I cannot speak on what the other doctor has seen but he has cancer, and it’s taken his whole abdomen. I called them out for taking almost $4000 from us in 2 months and doing nothing. I hope you all have my angels sweet smile seared into your brains. You killed an innocent sweet boy with your idiocy and inability. He was a therapy dog, my best friend, my son, my whole world and you took him from me. Linn Vet is 10000000 times better. Don’t go here….
My 17 yr old dog Paula was having respiratory problems. When I reached out to my Newport Vet, they were closed for the day and aren’t open on weekends. I tried the other two veterinarians in Newport and had to leave voice messages. One of them responded and told me that she was unavailable. They had one doctor on duty and were totally booked. She recommended I call Lincoln city. The other Newport Vets office never returned my call. I called Lincoln city clinics and they too were busy and could not see Paula until the next day at 1:30 in the afternoon. When I explained to her Paula’s age and the problem, she strongly urged me to go to Willamette Veterinary Hospital in Corvallis. I am totally convinced that Paula would not be alive if it had not been for the Willamette Veterinary Hospital. Paula is a very active and energetic 17-year-old and I could tell she was not feeling good. But she has bounced back and I thank them for helping me. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
This hospital has so much volume of care! The staff is highly trained, in their incredibly fast pace roles!! They care about each and every animal that comes in and out. I had to sit with my pup for seven and a half hours waiting for her to have a chance to get stitched up. Been more and more trauma patients kept coming. All you can do is wait and be thankful! As two of my other animals went through trauma and had to be seen immediately in the past there! What a Blessing to have this hospital near us, 24 hours!!!
As an emergency hospital, I absolutely loved the care provided at WilVet. They offered the gold standard treatment for my fur baby and were excellent with updates at least twice a day while he was there. The staff is excellent and exceptionally helpful/caring. When asked, they provided pictures of my boy as he was recovering and quick updates and even after discharge check-in. With that said, the excellent care is not cheap so keep that in mind.
My dog somehow managed to sustain a puncture to her eye. She is nervous around people she doesn’t know. The staff here made her feel so much more comfortable and handled her issue with care. Couldn’t recommend them enough, especially for emergency situations! Every staff I encountered was nice, professional, caring, and really go above and beyond with addressing the needs of the animals that come into their care.
I took my dog in because he had stitches that broke open and his vet was closed. It was a four hour wait but they took him back for vitals right away. After sitting in their lobby until 11:15 they took us back and told us what needed to be done, apparently the exam had happened four hour prior because the vet already knew what needed to happen. I then waited another 30 minutes for the estimate. The estimate was so high there was no way I could pay it. I paid $110 for the exam and got a lecture about leaving against medical advise while I was sobbing. They could have given me the estimate right after the exam, instead they waited until I was exhausted and stressed. It felt like it was just add pressure to an already extremely stressful situation. I went home sobbing with my dog having received no treatment and now I'll have to wait for my vet to open and pay them for another exam while my dogs leg still hasn't been addressed. If I needed an emergency vet again I would drive the hour to Salem. I wouldn't be back here.
