Description Seneca Animal Hospital is a privately owned, full-service veterinary hospital located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Seneca, South Carolina. Our team of compassionate veterinarians and veterinary staff care for companion and exotic animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, pet birds, reptiles, amphibians, and more! We are committed to exemplifying and inspiring responsible pet ownership through preventative healthcare practices and educational opportunities for pet owners. Our hospital proudly serves Seneca and the greater Oconee County Area, including Walhalla, Salem, Westminster, Townville, Clemson, and Central!
All of my animals receive the best care from the staff members! The vet takes their time with exams and makes you feel at ease by keeping you informed about everything happening. My cat got bitten by a dog and they made sure she fully recovered without any issues 💜
We just moved to this area (Pickens) on Memorial Day 2024. Our Great Dane, Maze, has suffered from happy tail for months and it got worse after we moved. It was bandaged up until I gave her a bath and noticed it was pretty bad and needed an immediate vet visit. I called every vet in the area and nobody would look at her - until I called Seneca Animal Hospital. They were able to work her in between other appointments to observe her tail. Not even 10 minutes after leaving the parking lot I got a call from one of their doctors saying she needed her tail amputated, which we kinda figured. They had her stay the night to start antibiotics and pain meds & scheduled her for surgery the next day. She is now apart of the “nub club” and even a few hours after surgery… she’s happy AF! If that doesn’t tell you anything, well, it should. I cannot thank the staff enough for basically saving my baby’s life. And for the amount of support we received by drs and staff. I don’t know if our dog is high off medicine or if she’s actually this happy, but I haven’t seen her like this in quite a while. The ONLY thing I’d complain about is the pricing, but again, worth it for treatment received. Thank you Seneca Animal Hospital! Maze is a happy puppy again!
Always friendly and helpful when it comes to my boys Roscoe and Sob. They always listen to all of my concerns and show my pups so much love, and extremely understanding when it comes to Sob and his anxiety. Even helped with my rescued pigeon Larry and his girlfriend Lucille. Didn't make me feel dumb for bringing them in thinking something was wrong with Lucille and it was actually normal. Helped me better understand so I wouldn't panic in the future.
Am very pleased with the way my pets are treated here. The staff are competent and caring. They keep in touch with us about pets and appointments. The building itself has a large lobby in two areas, and this separation helps keep the animals calm. I'm glad to have them nearby!
I qualified for the low-cost spay & neuter certificate from Oconee Animal Control, for my dog and one of the vets I could chose from was Seneca Animal Hospital, I was very nervous about changing vets since we have recently moved an hour from our old vet and just couldn’t keep making the trip due to my health issues. I had a friend recommend Seneca Animal Hospital & I can tell you I was so super pleased with the wonderful care & excellent service we received!!!! My little rescue Chihuahua mix, 🍑 Peaches, was given top of the line care, (even though she was using a certificate from the animal shelter) and when I picked her up after surgery the vet tech (who is equal to an RN in my eyes) went over everything with us concerning aftercare, & was very thorough. Peaches was so well cared for and they did such an excellent job, she didn’t seem to have any discomfort, although I made sure she had the calming meds & pain meds. (All of which is extra I might add, but well worth it.) Within ten days her incision was totally healed and she never missed a beat! She didn’t whine or cry the entire time and you never would’ve known she had surgery except she had on her cone of shame ! Lol !!! Which by the way also cost extra, but over all it was a great experience and I would do it again . The only thing I suggest, especially if you get a certificate, which means you are in a lower income bracket, like me, just be prepared to pay extra for pain meds, calming meds and the cone to take home. Fortunately I had the $ on hand but that’s not always the case, AND IM NOT COMPLAINING AT ALL , I just think you need to know ahead of time. I give them 5 stars for everything otherwise, and I would go back for sure! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
We are fairly new to the area and have tried a few veterinarians. We were impressed the first time we went to Seneca Animal Hospital. The office and exam rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have seen a few different veterinarians and all are friendly, knowledgeable and care about the well being of our pets. They answer all our questions and spend as much time with us as we need, we never felt rushed. We are so happy we found them.
