Description Journey's End Animal Sanctuary provides lifetime care and shelter for dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, and goats. We have a homelike setting where animals can enjoy their lives in a comfortable, loving atmosphere. While most of our animals are permanent residents, we do have a few animals for adoption. Our sanctuary is located in DeLand, Florida. We are open for visitors by appointment only. Please go to our website to send an email to schedule a visit.
Visited with my husband while in Daytona for the weekend. The manager Wendy is so caring and has done so much for this place. All the animals seemed so happy and cared for. Definitely a place to visit or donate too! ❤️ Highlights were sweet Zoe and Thelma, the cat room, Gretel. Thank you for all you do!
Most wonderful woman in the world open this I met her years ago. I was not social media person so I did not put a review but I wish to God I did because oh my goodness is she amazing? I’m so grateful teaching everyone of the people that work there, they do an amazing job at caring for these beautiful creatures and their last days and it’s a beautiful clean wonderful Environment, these animals are blessed to be able to spend their last days here at Journeys End sanctuary. Please go visit and please support this beautiful woman that did this out of her own kind heart❤️🐾
The best vibe in Deland for animal lovers. There have been many improvements to the property. The animals are clean, healthy and safe. The staff and new management are kind, hard working and giving this sanctuary new life.
The animals here are not able to be adopted. They have disabilities and conditions, including fear from a history of being abused. The house and the grounds are huge. The animals are clean and having the best lives they can. This includes a 17 year old grey hound who was friendly. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely going to donate. And possibly volunteer.
This animal sanctuary is awesome!!! The volunteers are amazing! The owner is just wonderful! Thank Buddha a place like this exist for all the animals on their last leg. A beautiful place to see some amazing sweet animals and people. I believe everyone should take their kids to this animal sanctuary instead of the usual theme parks to reconnect with nature and show them why saying and neutering is really really important. Will definitely head back and I live an hour away.
Volunteered here for a short time and this place is nothing other than a guise for animal hoarding. It is disgusting, rank and filth coat every single surface imaginable and the smell is strong enough to make you gag from the driveway. The people are nice and i understand the cause but this is not the way to go about it. Tons and tons of animals jam packed into every possible space. There is no way to properly care for this many animals in this kind of environment. There is no way this healthy for the volunteers and animals to be there every single day breathing in that air.
