I hate to give bad reviews, but here I go. I moved recently to Las Vegas and needed to take my dog to the clinic because he is on ongoing medications and needs a refill every month, and it was required to take him for a first time evaluation at this new clinic, first of all, the front desk lady was not friendly at all, then doctor did not show any empathy or cares about my dog condition, she wanted to changed medication, i refused. Did several test on him that didn’t need, my dog felt so scared and sad, i took him and will never come back to this location.
Bought my 11wk old puppy in that I've had since Tuesday today and found out she has parvo. But VCA NELLIS took care of us like the PICU would when I would take my daughter in for her asthma. Our pets are our children and here they understand that. The vet is never fun or cheap but knowing they really do care helps ease the pain.---- She survived parvo
I was lucky that I went to the airport to double-check everything before the PCS flight to Anchorage. The staff there at Alaska Airlines dug in & notified us that we would need the health cert for cockatiel as Alaska advised ALL - not just furries. Flight was in 4 days. Airline staff gave me a list of places to call & we exhausted that list & continued to call from Google Maps. We went through 8 additional calls until we got to VCA Nellis Animal Hospital. The staff ROCKED🔥 & got us taken care of. Doc Ojeda & this Amazing team are full of tons of knowledge and experience - not to mention the level of caring and professionalism is 💯
I think I have to get this off my chest too because I’ve never been to a vet and I’m a first time dog owner. I had just come back from a trip to another country for family reasons and had to follow proper protocol at work just to even leave work early due to my dog’s condition. I was judged the entire time I was there. I kept hearing the ranting in the back room after each small test sampling of my dog about my “ignorance” and not knowing what I’m doing. Like clearly I’m not a vet and I went to the VCA to get help from people who should be the experts. I also work a job that does not really allow me to just leave without penalty even in emergencies as I have to reason really well to my management. I get that sympathy or empathy isn’t a part of anyone’s roles there but the customer service from the vet and associates is lacking. I’ll never forget that the moment I was panicking and couldn’t remember my dog’s birthday (not like anyone else hasn’t forgotten the birthday of their spouse or child at times), and stated my dog was a Maltese, I see the desk lady make a face and judgingly ask “That’s a Maltese?” It’s just a bit condescending and rude because it’s my first time there and I can hear the negative commentary and indifference. The only reason this received 3 stars is because my dog got better but if my dog hadn’t, just based on the service alone, this location deserves 1 star or less.
This hospital was very kind and easy to work with and did not charge an arm and a leg to put my dog down that was 16 yrs old .they were very honest and kind and I even had him cremated and put in a nice wooden box that says his name on it. They put him to sleep and creamated him for less than$400 which was a helper for me. I didn't have allot of money and my poor dogs quality of life was not very good since he was 16 yrs.old.If I have any other animal needs I will for sure bring them to this hospital thank you again
Dr. Lindaman and staff are AMAZING and do such a great job taking care of our dog!
