Found a stray dog starving, recently gave birth, both front legs injured, limping around. Gave her some food and tried to call animal services four times. Kept getting their voicemail even though it was 2 hours before they close. Why do they not answer their phones? This dog needed help. Help I couldn’t give the poor thing. I couldn’t bring her into my home to wait for them to answer, and she got away. Useless. Absolutely useless.

I’m heartbroken. The city just came and stole my neighbors beloved ducks. Baby ducks that he lovingly raised from hatchlings - he built a beautiful little sanctuary with a pond and play area and shelter for them in his backyard and the city came and stole them all. We share a fence with our neighbor and never once heard anything loud, never once smelled duck poop. Never once had the ducks cross into our backyard or front yard. They were just sweet innocent, loved and cherished pets. Now where will these ducks go? Some city pond where they’ve never had to fend for themselves a day in their life? How will they eat? What will they do? So awful. The city should be ashamed of themselves for this. I’m heartbroken.

Called to report a 5ft snake crawling around my patio and backyard. Their response "snakes are part of natural inhabitat, and Animal Control won't pick it up, so just stay inside until it's gone". Nice! Now I'm hoping it's not poisonous and I hoping it will crawl into my neighbor's yard and stay there. My tax dollars at work at its finest.

My daughter had a missing red nose pitbull and Carlos came out and searched the creek next to my house with another employee. They didn’t find him in the creek but they did find him within the next hour or two. He was so nice that he stopped by my house to let me know that they found them. My daughter will be on her way to pick him up. Thank you thank you!

The staff at this office is so incredibly kind and compassionate. When it came time to put my beloved dog to sleep bc she had cancer, the vet I’ve used for 7 years was “too booked up” to accommodate us. MAH booked us that day without question. To be honest, they seemed like they were also too booked up, but they never made us feel that way. They ushered us right into a private room, gave us all the time we needed, and treated us with such compassion. I was so impressed with the staff there. We will definitely be bringing our pets back!
