Dr. Amy, Dr. Monica and Dr. Hall are incredible. My dachshund, Kaiser, is 16 1/2 and he started to have some muscle atrophy that was causing weakness in his back legs. He visits weekly for a workout on the underwater tread, cold laser and core exercises. Dr. Amy gave us a home PT regimen that we follow. We also pair this with biweekly acupuncture and cold laser therapy at our regular vet. Kaiser has gained muscle and has improved overall. Everyone at AARF is caring, committed, and wonderful. Special shout out to Nancy at the front desk, too! She’s a gem.
They have been a truly valuable resource as our schnauzer recovered from spinal surgery he had at UGA. He's gotten stronger, and they've helped us so much. He had this same surgery 3 years ago. I wish we'd known what a difference they would have made then. Johnna has taught us so much, and all of the staff feels like friends or family. The gains seen by Goliath are worth the expense.
10/5 stars! PT is SO important in people, and in even so much so in animals. Being a veterinarian, I have very high standards for the care of my pets, let alone my service animal. The level of expertise that Jonna and her team display is simply exceptional. The love, care, and attention towards their patients is second to none and an added bonus. You simply cannot be in better hands than at AARF.
They're amazing, and take a very individualized approach to physical therapy. They are booked out, but because they have two doctors they're both familiar with her case and her quirks. They create a plan based upon the 30 min appointment, so unlike some other rehabs, you don't pay extra if you want laser therapy or the water treadmill, or acupuncture etc. They also don't do reassessment every week, which some places charge to do. They don't nickel and dime and are truly in it for the wellbeing of your animal. They're knowledgeable, competent, and friendly. Thanks Docs!
Have a dog with a partially torn ACL. They are working with us to do PT to help the leg recover and try to avoid surgery. The consultation was great. I learned a good bit about his recovery. They gave us some routines to try at home and an overview of what we would be doing in his normal sessions. His first session went well. I was surprised at how well our pup did in the water tank. The rest of the staff are very friendly as well. Got all our appointments scheduled out for the next set of sessions. Still early, but feeling pretty hopeful thanks to their time and guidance!
Wonderful place and wonderful staff. I really appreciate the help they gave me with my dog. They were very kind and understanding and have helped me give my dog a better life and that PT has made me bond with My dog on so many other ways. They teach you what to do at home. I would bring My pet here for a consultation. It's worth the price
