I tried several different vets in the Vegas area in the last 4 years and really wasn't happy with any until coming here. It is a very busy clinic (think like the series ER but for for pets! ) but the front desk staff are always friendly, informative, and clearly state what to expect/wait times if you are new. Separate entrances for dogs and cats. They are always careful about keeping pets that may be contagious separate from the rest of the pets by having them wait in the car and come in through a separate entrance . When it is your turn with the vet they take the time to explain and give you time to ask questions /concerns. You never feel rushed. They aren't pushy. The professionalism and love for animals is clear among all the staff I have observed. I feel my dog is safe here. He also had his teeth cleaned for the first time under anesthesia and did great ( age 10 lab mix). My one negative is I don't like that the blood draw and injections are done in a separate room than in the exam room with me but that seems to be the new thing among the big vet clinics. Also, the clinic should invest in at least 1 or 2 tables that raise up and down for exam, the poor vets and vet techs have to get on their knees or bend over to exam the larger dogs - not good! Take care of your vets long term health!

I’m beyond happy with mine and my baby’s experience here. Doctor Scott Upton is amazing and treated us so kindly. My cat ended up staying 3 nights and he made sure to keep us updated about everything. The girls working the front were also very compassionate. They all referred to my cat as “my baby” and it was so comforting. We were able to visit her during her stay and they gave us our own room/privacy. I can’t express how thankful I am enough!!!! Thank you Tropicana. ♥️🙏

The staff and Dr. Leigh were so kind to me and my dog. I had to lay my dog to rest, and the doctor was so understanding and everyone there was so kind through the whole week process my dog stayed at the facility. I couldn’t say enough about how they made a very difficult situation easier to handle.

so, my 2 male dogs got fixed here about a week ago. the surgeries went super well, but one of my dogs came home very sick. we brought him back, as he could not even stand without vomiting. we were left in the room with our poor dog, who was non stop puking, for about 20 minutes with nobody checking on us. when the vet did come, she wanted us to pay 350 dollars for an x-ray. we did not do this as it was clearly something from getting fixed. we took him home with new medication. not long after, all 5 of our dogs got VERY sick. Turns out, our boys picked up kennel cough from this vet. This is not a bashing, since the surgeries went very well, and were clean. the people who work here are sweet, it’s just a matter of cleanliness. we had no warning, and no real answer to why our dogs were coughing and vomiting until we went to another vet. Being left alone in a room full of dog vomit with only a few paper towels was not great either.

First off, Natalie in reception is so kind. The sweetest customer service. Dr. Lay spent half a day with us. Our baby boy was diagnosed with cancer and it’s been a rough few days processing. He took his time with us and made phone calls and went above and beyond. The prices were more affordable than most places, too. I’m glad we chose to use these guys.

Local reviewer here: my sister’s dog, Dora, has been seeing these vets since moving here a few years ago and they have always given efficient, thorough care. It’s walk-in and you roll the dice on the wait, but they’re solid. Dora was an aging dog and the folks here transitioned her to Palliative Care a few months back. Unknown to the staff, I’m an ex Hospice doctor and Medical Director for humans. When it was Dora’s time, we called and they said bring her right on in. When we got there, they saw that Dora was imminently dying, albeit comfortably. They were kind, gentle, and authentically compassionate. They made the awful process appropriately poignant and beautiful—not rushed. Again, busy? Yes. Might you have to wait? Maybe. But they are KIND here, people. Take note.
