These people are amazing, from the vets to the vet techs to the clerical staff. They are so gentle and understanding. They truly do treat pets as if they belonged to them. They recently performed surgery on my dog, and called to keep me updated the whole time. And they were patient with me when I was paying. They treated my Dixie girl with amazing kindness and gentleness. I have found my forever vet! One happy client here! ☺️

Amazing people! Smart, helpful and very, very kind. Dr. Ward took the time to help me make the right decision for my sweet dog. She didn’t push at all but she also didn’t just dump it on me and say “well, it’s up to you”. It was so obvious how much she cared. She explained everything clearly and compassionately and helped me process it. Everyone I interacted with in the office that day was supportive and kind to both me and Peeka. I am grateful for their help and could not recommend them more highly.

We've been clients for many years, it's always been a good vet but ever since the Wards took over it's become even better! They are all amazing vets who genuinely care about animals. Last night's interaction stood out even among all of the many positive experiences we've had here. Our newest rescue is a sassy older kitty who we were not sure how she would do at her first appointment. Dr. Nelson and the sweetest vet tech ever followed Ms. Munch's lead and got right down on the ground with her to make her feel more comfortable! They managed to keep this extra spicy kitty calm and purring during the majority of her appointment. With only some minor grumbling, the vet tech's quick use of squeezy treats and neck scritches calmed this savage little beast. I cannot say enough good things about HAH, the entire staff is incredibly kind and caring, they clearly love animals and what they do <3

I took my parakeet to Maria. She took time with me to discuss my birds diet and came out and sat with me and answered all my questions. Staff was all courteous and professional! Highly recommend! I also appreciated the fact that Maria was honest with me about what type of care she would provide that day and how we would continue to monitor my bird for future visits.

My dog regularly went to Harrisonburg Animal Hospital for routine visits as well as things that would occasionally come up, for a number of years. The facility is welcoming, clean and comforting. All of the staff has always been kind, compassionate and made me feel like my concerns were always valid. My dog has since passed away of old age but she was always well taken care of by this vet office. The staff cares for the animals just as much as their owners. Thank you for being a safe space!

I can't say enough about how great an experience it was when we brought our Pup to see Dr. Ward and her crew. She spent a ton of time with me, explaining things and answering my questions -- but not like I was a 5 year old. She was super thoughtful, researched our dog's condition, and coordinated with Specialists from a different Animal Hospital. They didn't try to upsell us and just went above and beyond to care for our Dog. We have found our new permanent Vet!
