The dumb friends league buddy center was amazing to work with. I came in a few days before adopting my baby to look at the cats and when I came back they remembered me and helped me find the cat I was looking for (it was love at first site) They explained how to best help her because she was a very anxious cat, gave me tips to help her adjust and just made me and her feel comfortable. Now I have an incredibly comfortable and cuddly cat who adjusted much faster than they expected! Augustine (formerly Mazi) is very thankful for the dumb friends league! I will recommend them to everyone I know.
I adopted my beloved guinea pig, Mable, here and renamed her Pepper. The center was nice and tidy, and the staff was friendly! The adoption process was a breeze. The only issue with Pepper's condition was that her nails were extremely long, which looked painful. Other than that, I'm happy to have rescued my little piggie and to take good care of her! 🐹💞🥬
Two weeks ago we traveled to castle rock to meet a puppy, it was a Friday morning and it was a relaxed, pleasant experience. We didn’t get the name of the staff that worked with us, but she was wonderful and I’m grateful for the very nice visit. We visited the Leslie Malone center a few times prior and it was definitely a more loaded experience, especially trying to bring our other dogs to meet. I completely understand too, Denver dumb friends is the heart of it all. So if you’re looking for a more quiet experience, try the Buddy center, it may work out easier like it did for us :) Our girl is doing well, feisty, loves to play with her siblings. All our babies have come from the dumb friends, they’re very good people and offer amazing services!
We went in Friday afternoon after seeing this sweet boy on their site. I didn’t get the wonderful staff members name who helped us. But omg she was amazing. Brought me and my three little ones to a huge room stood patiently while I prepped my kids on how to act and behave around a a puppy so young. And when she brought him out she hung out patiently laughing and smiling while we played. And just like that she walked out got everything settled for us and we were a family. I so grateful!
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our loving Lily on May 3, just a few weeks shy of her 16th birthday. The staff at Dumb Friends League were exceptionally caring and patient with us, and they were so kind and gentle with our Lily. We couldn't have asked for a better experience during this difficult time. We will continue to support them with donations.
I visited the Buddy Center to drop off donations of towels that they can use as bedding. There is a place right outside the door to drop off items. I had to go in just to see the animals. The place is always clean. It is much smaller than the Denver location so not a large selection. I have adopted a cat from the Buddy Center in the past. They only had 2 cats in this visit, but quite a few adorable bunnies.
