It’s been so long since we had a puppy and we haven't had a male dog in over 20 years. We never feel rushed with our million questions. Dr. Lewis and Dr. Taylor are always there to assure us these are all normal concern's and we trust both of them. We feel comfortable that we are putting our puppy in the best of caring, knowledgeable and safe hands. The staff is always welcoming, patient and so kind. We are so grateful for the skill and care we receive at Grand Montecito. Thank you for everything.
This is only for the boarding. I really liked the doctors here but boarding was horrible. We went out of the country. We couldn't take our dog. I was told since they have veterinarians there, if anything goes wrong, my dog would be safe. I really liked that idea. We've never boarded him ever so that reassured me. What was promised: *His nails will be trimmed immediately *They will walk my dog 6 times daily. *They will send me pictures daily *They will give him the 1 bag of goodies daily (brought 8 bags) for the 9 days stay *all the shots will be updated *he will get a bath the last day Everyday, I called because I didn't get any pictures, no updates via email as promised. Everyday, I was told he ate, pooped, doing fine. They will send pictures but were too busy. Finally got photos on the 4th day. Ive never seen my dog look so sad ever. We rushed back to the states. I called them multiple times to let them know we will be picking him a day early so please bath him. I also called 4 hours prior to pick up to let them know we were on our way. We got there. No bath. No nail trimmed. They said they can do it right now but it would take 15 to 20 minutes, depends. We had traveled for over 20 hours to get our dog. We were exhausted. We told them no. I was told there was miscommunication so he didn't get a bath. We also noticed only 1 bag of treat was given out of 8. Our dog was neglected The office manager said they were just too busy due to spring break... its like hearing, Im sorry we couldnt change your baby's diaper for a week because we were too busy, but we can change them now. My dog was neglected. Im very disappointed. No he will not go back. I really don't like writing negative reviews so I waited 3 days to make sure I wasn't over reacting. The first 4 photos were from them. I was told its because he has a sad looking face. Last 2 were taken the day i dropped him off. No sad face there. They had drained all the happiness out of his life
Our 12 year old GSD was very sick; we brought him in for an assessment. He stayed in hospital for 2 days. Communication was good and they took wonderful care of him. Dr. McCluskey, Dr. Rickey and Dr. Dunleavy are the best. The office staff and techs were all so kind and compassionate. Photo of my daughter with both of our dogs.
I have had such an easy time taking Hildy to Grand Montecito. The doctors are just wonderful. I am appreciative of their time. They always explain things in detail, and never charge for things I don't need. Two thumbs up Grand Montecito!
I was a loyal customer of this place until I received some awakening insight on how they operate. My son, who is on the spectrum, got a job here and they really showed their true colors in how they treated him. The so-called Kennel Supervisor was very passive aggressive towards him every single day and when he addressed it with management, she actually admitted it to him during a halfhearted "apology" and then she only got more clever in hiding her aggressive approach while her bad behaviors continued. She made his experience there a living nightmare. Multiple co-workers would also play pranks on him because he's an easy target. Bunch of bullies if you ask me. On a separate note, when your business is at risk of dropping below 4 stars, you may want to reassess the management team and maybe consider some replacements. Needless to say, I've taken my business to a different place that understands the meaning of integrity and respect in the workplace. Your guess is as good as mine as to how they treat the animals behind closed doors given their track record.
I had to bring my 13 year old baby here and let her go so she could rest. They were so nice and so patient. On top of it the price was very reasonable for everything I received in getting her remains back. The package was a nice urn I gor to choose, a ink paw print in a frame, and a hair clipping that comes in a really nice card. I also paid a little extra to get a clay paw print added as well. When I say everything was just so beautiful I cried.
