Me, my 14 year old & his grandma spent the morning here at this amazing facility with even more amazing women that run it! They need volunteers on Saturday mornings. I'm so happy we went! It was such a good time & feels so fulfilling to help people and animals. A perfect way to work with cats roaming around! They run it so nicely, so it was so easy to go in and follow their lead!
We got Baxter from Quabache Feline Rescue. They do such a wonderful job in the community. They are truly a blessing. It has been such an easy transition with him. I am so thankful for a rescue like this in the area. Please support them any way you can.
Great cat shelter. Tammy takes such great care of the cats. She and volunteers treat the cats with love, get them healthy for adoption, and rehab any sick cats back to health. Tammy goes above and beyond for those cats! Cats here are just the sweetest.
I called regarding an injured stray cat that I took in for the night and the woman on the phone was VERY RUDE. In looking up pet shelters/rescues, I found this one to be one 24 hours (via google's website). I explained to her the situation regarding the cat I found and she rudely responds, "Do you know its 4 in the morning". Very unfriendly, uncaring, and disregarded my concern telling me that I needed to call back in the morning ( Is 4 am not morning time lol???). Highly DO NOT recommend contacting this establishment.
The lady here is one of the most compassionate and loving people I have ever had the blessing of meeting and I only wish I knew about her sooner. Please do all that you can to support her, the world has a shortage of those who dedicate their lives caring for animals and this lady is legitimately an angel in my eyes. Thank you so much for what you provide others, you're a beautiful soul.
They were very rude and would not let me come there to see if my cat was there. I get that they don't have a lot of help and sometimes have to leave to pick up rescues. However, I even asked when would be a good time to come and look. Also, if they're not going to be there, they could at least put it on Facebook and say going to be closed today for deep cleaning or whatever the reason is so people don't drive all the way there only to not be let in when their hours said they were open. If you're in the business of helping animals, you have to be in the business of helping people too by allowing them to be reunited with their pets. EDIT: I have never gotten a cat from this facility. I have never had a lost cat that was found by this place and have never even been allowed to come and look. When looking at their Facebook page, there was a post saying that they had over 20 intakes and, having looked at pictures and seen multiple black cats, I would have felt better to be able to come and look. I also really don't appreciate the owner commenting back and making up a lie that they have taken care of a cat of mine before. I have never had a lost cat end up at any shelter up to this point in my life. A business like this needs to be able to allow owners to come and look, though, because you never know if a cat of yours may have ended up at another shelter and been transferred to this one or been taken in as a stray but really belonged to someone. I wish this place was like the actual shelters in the area where they have regular hours and allow people to come and look both to adopt and to check and see if they have their cat.
