Description Catmandu is a cage-free sanctuary and rescue for cats in Carson City, Nevada. Established in March 2014, we work to find loving homes for adoptable cats and provide a safe and loving sanctuary for the less adoptable feline residents in their care. Catmandu is open for adoptions Friday through Sunday, from 11 am to 4 pm. For cat surrender inquiries, please fill out a Surrender Inquiry Form, found on our website.

Absolutely amazing place for cats and wonderful staff! I recently had to give up two of my babies due to not being able to house them anymore, and Kris has been absolutely spectacular! It is incredibly clean and well maintained, and the cats are very obviously spoiled and loved! They get the best care and do such amazing work! Highly recommend them, whether having to let go of cats to a safe place or to adopt!

The ladies at Catmandu are amazing! We adopted our little Cheddar boy a little over a week ago. The place is exactly what it says, a cat sanctuary! These ladies take such good care of the cats and kittens there, and you can tell how much they care. They will give you all the information you need as far as how to help them adjust, what food to feed them, etc. Cheddar is up to date on all his shots and even came chipped! I saw some negative reviews about not "allowing" people to adopt certain cats, etc. and I do believe they only have the cats best interest. They don't want to see them end up back at the sanctuary, a shelter, or worse, dumped somewhere. They clearly state this on their website as well. We went there fully prepared there'd be a possibility we'd be turned down. Think of it like buying from a breeder. The good ones do their research and have every right to turn you down if they don't think you're a good fit. So, all that being said, do your research before you decide to adopt. Thank you, Catmandu! We love our boy and are so proud of how well he's adjusting to his new life!

Had to give up my cats broke my hip put house up for rent was taking my babies with me to move in with daughter at last minute daughter said I couldn’t take my two babies with me never have I gave up my animals desperate to find a home for my babies with a heavy heart I found Kathmandu from the reviews. I got their fabulous and they will love my cats unfortunately, I can’t let my cats know how heartbroken I am over them because they were never know, but as far as I know, they’re taking excellent care of them first thing they did when they got my kitty cats was to have them groomed, which they need desperately and I try to stay in touch with them, so that I know kitty cats are fine. I have a lot of confidence going and visiting them when I had to donate my kitty cats.

Linda and her staff and volunteers are amazing! Their cats are all well cared for and they are willing to bend over backwards to help any cat out there, even when they are full up and don't have space. They don't just turn you away and refuse to help, they will help with finding alternatives. Linda clearly cares first and foremost about the well-being and safety of the cats in her care and I will be forever grateful to her for still helping when she was already overwhelmed. Jeanine is amazing as well! She doesn't give up on any kitty and has also been a blessing for me and my feral colony. We need more places like Catmandu!

Pretty amazing cat rescue facility, with tons of varied rooms and outdoor spaces for them, which are all interconnected for unlimited roaming.
