Thank you Dr Martinez. Sheyla was barely eating for the last couple of days. We called a few places around and Caring Hands gave us an appointment within 30 minutes. Dr Martinez explained everything . She ended up needing and having surgery right away. They helped us setup a payment plan. The whole staff here is so nice and caring. She started eating again last evening. We'll be back for a checkup in a week. December 2023- update. She's back to her old self. Thank you !

I loooooove this place. I adopted a real sickly young puppy and they helped me nurse him back to health. Now he’s thriving and doubled his weight! They’re always there for me when I need a break from my big dog by boarding him. They’re kind and helpful. I’ll always return here for all my pet needs.

Took my dog for a dental cleaning on 12/2/2023 based on a groupon.  Brought her home around noon.  At approximately 8 pm, after a walk, I saw and pulled a thermometer plastic sleeve from my dog's rectum (fine my wife pulled it out, but I saw it first).  This is when I became very angry and started to think about all the issues with this place and decided to talk to the office manager.  The office manager was an extremely nice and polite young man.  He was very apologetic and took a picture of the rectal sleeve for his staff as a learning lesson.  The manager said, had the sleeve stayed in my dog's system and gotten lodged inside, there could have been serious issues for my dog.   I did ask if they would discount/refund the cost of the cleaning and he said the owner said no. Aside from the sleeve, my other issues with the business (To be fair, my dog's teeth are clean): 1.  Authentic Reviews?  Yellow pages online has 48 reviews from 2015 and prior.  All have 5 stars.  The second reviewer, Redik L. also did a 5 star review of Sumo Japanese Steakhouse in San Antonio Tx.  The third reviewer, Clasa S., also enjoyed and wrote about a 5 star meal at Sumo Japanese Steakhouse in San Antonio Tx.  They could be a couple I guess who also consider many places their homes.  They both say, they have been going to many businesses for many years.  Only these businesses are not in the same city or state.  To be fair, I only looked at the first 10 reviewers but found pretty much the same patterns.  They have reviews in many different cities and states.  Some also buy a lot of cars. 2. When I picked up my dog.  Her face was matted from the cleaning.  I thought it was just wet, but later realized it was all sticky. Would have been nice if they just used some water to clean her up so she wouldn't have looked so beaten up. 3.They shaved both her legs, yet I only saw bandages on one.  And when we took it off, she immediately started to lick her leg.  This licking lasted for two days.  I'm guessing she was licking her leg because of the pain. 4. The groupon said up to 47% off.  The price was $175 (excluding medicines).  That would make the normal cost of a dental cleaning around $372.  Add on the $146 for medication they charged me for, that totals $518.  Yet somehow on their invoice they give you, they say the price is $792 and you received a $657 discount.  Where did the $792 come from? 5. I had a bad feeling after talking to the person who gave me the initial consult.  She said, my dog needs to get 2-4 teeth pulled.  Even if she needs it, so glad I decided not to get the teeth pulled here.  When I called to cancel the extraction portion, the lady on the phone actually said, "If I don't pull the teeth at the same time as the cleaning, it could lead to more disease."  Meaning it had to be done at the same time.  I'm not a vet, but I find that hard to believe.  I totally understand the need to do an extraction.  However, saying that somehow the cleaning alone would hurt the dog, seems weird.

My dog was attacked by another dog & unfortunately had his jaw broken & a few teeth hanging along with a laceration. They prioritized my baby & did so amazing. Everyone was so nice & welcoming. Because of caring hands animal hospital my Gizmo gets to live a regular life again soon enough 💗

Dr. Martinez failed to see a giant air bubble in my cats intestines. That was on the 23rd. Now she has to have emergency surgery and her chances of survival are greatly lessened because of Dr. Martinez not catching it. He even felt her stomach and didn't notice a thing. He probably spent less than 3 minutes in the exam room. Our current vet informed us that Dr. Martinez has 7 complaints filed to the board against him. In their words, "he should have his license taken away" They actually showed me a dog where he almost killed it and they ended up saving it. I'm hoping they can save my cat. I'm furious with caring hands and especially Dr. Martinez. He should not be practicing veterinary medicine at all.

I took my baby chihuahua to them and they were amazing! They were very nice and very gentle with my brownie. The doctor was very understanding with our situation and helped us out. They understood the emergency and made an appointment for us the next day. The Front desk employees were also very helpful understanding and Amazing they helped me with a payment option they sat there and gave me numbers to call for help. She walked me through the whole process for my baby. I could confidently say they saved my baby brownies life.
