Description KENTUCKY'S ONLY NONPROFIT CAT CAFÉ ~ Cat lovers will find a whimsical and relaxing space at Lucky Cat Café. Located in a charming 100-year old house with a 12-foot cat mural on the building. Volunteers run everything, from feeding cats to brewing coffee. Cats & kittens come from 6 rescue partners. You can take your snacks into the Cat Lounge while visiting. All cats are adoptable. Most visitors come to play, hang out, and pet cats. We specialize in adult, senior, and special needs cats because they need help finding the right FURever homes. Small entry donation for a one-hour visit. Discount for seniors, college, and vets. Visited here for the first time yesterday. I’ve been to other cat cafes, and this is by far the best I’ve been to! It’s the ONLY nonprofit cat cafe in the area (the closest is Nashville, TN), and it has such a homey vibe. It’s a very inclusive environment and is perfect for anyone with special needs as the staff do an excellent job keeping everyone spread out with a relatively quiet environment. Admission is only $15 & includes a specialty coffee or beverage with an organic snack! (There are vegan snack options—I highly recommend the raspberry fig bar!) Plenty of toys are available for playing with the cats. ✨ To top things off, they have a board with a back story for each cat that allows you to get to know them personally! The volunteers are as sweet as can be, and there is such a great gift shop (not to mention it is so inexpensive!!). I would absolutely visit again. Other cat cafes in the area are great, but they’re more expensive & tend to be overstimulating for me (loud, lots of people crowded together, etc). Louisville is “lucky” to have the Lucky Cat Cafe & Lounge. TLDR; cheap admission, great beverage & snack options, inclusive special needs-friendly environment, cat toys for playing with the cats, homey vibes, cheap gift shop, in the heart of a shopping centre

Had a great experience hanging out with all of the cats with my wife and 2 teen boys. For my oldest 16th birthday! There was no pressure to adopt. The facility was clean and cute. The employees seemed caring and dedicated. Thanks for helping the cats 😺

This place is the cutest! You walk in and there are a couple of different little rooms with lots of little kitties. Each and every kitty has such personality and there are sheets which describe the different attributes of each cat. All the cats there are rescues and the cafe is nonprofit, amazing!! Only $10 an hour as a donation fee and it is worth every penny. They even gave us treats to give to the cats there! They also provided toys for the cats, stickers for guests, and a white board to draw on. Such a peaceful experience and worth a visit, every little kitty deserves love!!

Even while hosting a classroom of children, the atmosphere was very calm. The cats were so welcoming, able to play in their own spaces, And friendly as cats are. The workers were very knowledgeable about each cat and their characters. I enjoyed being able to be in a peaceful surrounding. I love their little items that you could purchase! Cat hair clips catnip for my cat and coffee of course. I highly recommend you coming.

Great non profit that helps to socialize cats who have been rescued. I was impressed by how much space they had for the cats and all the toys they had for them. The volunteers were really knowledgeable about the cats as well and seemed to really love them. Lots of cute kitties there!
