Coming from Colorado, the state with the top veterinary school in this country, and the most phenomenal veterinarians, Cherokee Animal Clinic in comparison, was incredibly lackluster, most specifically in communication; and the amount of time spent with our puppy for her appointment. There was a very sick dog, who was seen on an emergency, and we lovingly understand that that dog absolutely needed to go first. However, my spouse sat there for nearly an hour without any notice from the receptionist, about what was going on, and when they were finally seen, the vet only spent 5 minutes with our puppy. Incredibly mismanaged office, unacceptable.

Money grubby even when your pet is suffering and its time to help them pass with euthanasia they will try to squeeze the last dime out of you. I had been going to them for a long time but that place has changed. They even injured my dogs leg and tried to make me pay for it. The vet wont answer questions. They hire youngsters that dont know a lot. Its all about money. Beware

We have 2 cats that we've been taking to Cherokee for the last couple of years. We decided to adopt a kitten off the streets, but before bringing her into our home we wanted her checked for spreadable diseases, including ticks and mites, whatever can be spread to our other cats. Kitten was given a full bill of health and we brought her home. My oldest cat started having issues with her ear about a month after we had her home. I took her here, they gave me drops due to the inflammation of the ear and told me to bring her back in a week. I brought her back, the infection had cleared, and with the naked eye the vet said "allergies." Well, since we had gotten the kitten I had changed their food, so I upgraded the food. Oldest cat continued to get ear infections, I'd treat with drops, it'd subside, then another infection would flare up. My middle cat ended up with a hot spot on her side. In a panic I called a different vet and got both hot spot and ear infection in. The oldests ear was so bad, they can't even see her ear drum. They said they didn't want to prescribe drops because they need the ear drum to be clear to locate a diagnosis. Wanna know what caused the ear infections? EAR MITES! From patient zero, young street kitty! One of the things we brought her HERE to be tested for, and we were told it was allergies in our oldest cat. Now we're fighting mite infestation with all 3 cats, plus treating my eldest for the big problem. I will never take my cats here again! To think my cats have been fighting bugs in their ears for almost a year now breaks my heart. Don't make the same mistake we did! Don't take your pet here.

Good caring people here, a bit pricey aft tines bit it evens out I think. Make sure when you make your appointment that your fave Vet isn't volunteering that day, not too in love with the sub Vet, but still was considerate, and professional, see. Spoiled I am I guess. :/

Nice small practice with friendly staff and is able to see my dog relatively quickly when needed.
