Description Heart’s Ease Veterinary Hospice is an in-home service providing compassionate geriatric support care, hospice and palliative care and in-home euthanasia. Our care focuses on quality of life and comfort support for companion animals that are seniors, diagnosed with a terminal illness, have progressive arthritis or other disease limitations. Dr. Bennett and Dr. Cook work closely with every family and their veterinarian to provide each animal individualized options for their specific needs.

We had to say goodbye to our senior cat Scout the week before Thanksgiving last year. She was a rescue who was semi-feral--loving and sweet with us, but not so much with strangers. We were worried that her passing might be traumatic even with it happening at home. We needn't have been concerned. Dr. Bennett was very understanding about the situation, and when the day came, she was so kind and gentle and so compassionate. Scout passed in complete peace with us by her side. Cori at the office was wonderful, too. They both made what was a terrible loss a bit less difficult to bear. Many thanks to them both.

Our dog, Lola, passed about six weeks ago. It was a day I was completely dreading and I knew I wanted her to pass away in her home, with familiar surroundings and people she loved. Dr Bennett was so patient, caring, and thoughtful throughout the whole process. She understood that we needed a few moments with our dog to say goodbye and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. I couldn’t imagine a more peaceful transition for our beloved Lola, and a better process for my family and I as we said goodbye. I highly recommend Heart’s Ease! They made a difficult time a little bit easier and definitely helped us find peace and comfort with a tough situation.

I am extremely late in writing this review because Dr. Bennett helped us send off our sweet 16 yr old Nika girl in June of 2022. We knew it was time to start saying our goodbyes a couple of months before, not a decision we made lightly. When the day arrived, Dr. Bennett made Nika feel very calm and relaxed. She never made us feel rushed and provided ample time for us to say our ‘see ya laters’ and give her all the kisses to take with her over the rainbow bridge. It was a difficult but beautiful experience and we are forever grateful that Heart’s Ease helped Nika transition in peace in the comfort of her home. Thank you from the bottom of our healing hearts <3

One of the most difficult calls that I have ever had to make, but I am incredibly thankful to have made the call to Cori and Dr. Bennett. Cori was incredibly kind on the phone. She has a way of making you feel heard and putting you at ease. She was very patient, informative, and answered all of my questions. Dr. Bennett is the perfect type of person for this job. She was calm and soothing, kindhearted, and considerate. Nothing felt rushed, and she was reassuring and gentle throughout the entire visit. She took the time to answer my questions and explain everything in as much detail as I wanted. She filled our home with love from the second that she walked in. My sweet dog was very comfortable with her, and Dr. Bennett made her last moments as peaceful as she deserved. She gave me as much time as I wanted and needed with my sweet girl before we said our final goodbyes. Heart’s Ease made the biggest difference on one of the hardest days of my life. I am incredibly thankful and indebted to Cori and Dr. Bennett.

Dr. Bennett and Cori are a wonderful duo who offer compassion, support and professionalism to you and your pet as you go through one of the hardest times. As difficult as it is to put a loving pet down, my husband and I continue to recount how our experience with Dr. Bennett and our Tito couldn’t have been more peaceful, positive and beautiful. Dr. Bennett walked us through the entire process, made Tito extremely comfortable, and was so kind to our other fur babies, as well. Nothing is easy about a decision like this, but we would pick Heart’s Ease every time.

There isn’t any framework of wording that comes close to describing the wholesomeness of Dr. Courtney Bennett. If any human being was meant for this profession, it is Dr. Bennett. The compassion, strength, knowledge, and all around for lack of a better word “leadership” Dr. Bennett gave our family, will never be matched. Dr. Bennett thank you for being so kind to our sweet boy. He took to you from the start, which was rare. Not even bark, which was in heard of. He immediately loved you as I’m sure all animals do. You were and are a blessing. Thank you again.
