Description Our Mission is to provide a safe haven for abandon, abused, and neglected farm animals of all kinds! **We are currently not intaking any new animals at this time unless a dire emergency situation. We only intake Farm Animals, We do NOT intake Dogs, Cats or Wildlife.**
I throughly enjoy my visits to the sanctuary. Love watching the goats run and play in their large yard with lots of stimulating structures to climb on and explore. The pigs have multiple spaces and houses; Ducks are getting a special yard with access to a pond; Hens and Peacocks have a beautiful custom house; and The horses and cows have several acres to graze with a new large barn. The animals seem so happy. Alyssa and Kevin put so much time and effort to ensure the animals are healthy and kept in a safe environment in spite of current losses and monetary setbacks due to hurricane Idalia. Can’t wait till they fully open to the public. I like this place so much I sponsor several animals.
I was at their fall festival yesterday and can't say enough about this amazing place! I've seen stories about the animals on social media but it can't hold a candle to seeing everything live and in person. Seeing the animals without cages in a fun and stimulating environment just made my heart happy!!! How just two people were able to have created such a refuge is mindblowing. I encourage anyone here in southwest Florida to come out when they have an open farm day to see for yourself - you'll be glad you did!
Oh my gosh! Just left Alyssa's Animal Sanctuary with my family and we had a blast! The animals and people there are so friendly and cool, they offer a gorgeous barn to hang out in or go through the play yard with the animals. Such an amazing experience for my family and my 11 month old son who loves animals. We had been following Alyssa’s Animal Sanctuary on Facebook and tik tok and just had to go ourselves! Highly recommend and we WILL be going back next chance we get.
The sanctuary itself is a haven for animals in need, providing a safe and loving environment for a wide variety of species. The enclosures are spacious and well-maintained, allowing the animals to roam freely and exhibit their natural behaviors. It was heartwarming to see how well-cared for and content the animals were. It was clear that every resident at the sanctuary was given individualized attention and care, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being and happiness of every resident. The level of attention and love given to each animal is truly remarkable. Overall, Alyssa's Animal Sanctuary is a shining example of compassionate animal care and advocacy. It's a place where animals find solace, love, and a second chance at life. I would highly recommend Alyssa's Animal Sanctuary to anyone who is passionate about animals and wants to support a truly remarkable organization. n the joy of being around animals, this sanctuary offers an unforgettable experience. Kudos to Alyssa and her team for creating such a remarkable sanctuary - they are true heroes for our furry and feathered friends!
If you ever get the chance to come here, do it. We went to Open Farm Day-awesome experience. Everyone is super nice, you get feed for the animals along with apples and carrots for the horses and cows. It’s a great experience for kids-I sure felt like one coming here. Lots of fun. They work hard, all the animals are rescues and they sure have a great life here. Thank you Alyssa and family
All I can really say is Wow. What a special, hidden gem. After finding out about an Open House on Facebook, our family visited Alyssa's Animal Sanctuary. We were blown away by what a friendly, welcoming and special place this is. Alyssa herself met us and greeted us and told us about the Open House and what we would experience. Our kids were able to feed tons of animals from chickens, roosters, goats, ducks, pigs, horses, cow, you name it. Our kids were able to get in the chicken coop and see how the chickens laid their eggs and cute baby chickens too. All of the animals were rescued and are SO INCREDIBLY SWEET. They ate right out of our hands and were so friendly and gentle with our kids. Our kids got to play with them, hold them, run around with them and even brush the horses. It was a really neat experience that is something you don't find at a silly petting zoo or some mobile experience that brings animals to you or an event. Support this family who has turned one lost horse during the hurricane into a full blown family experience saving animals when no one else would. Cannot say enough positive things. Family event 100%!
