Bourbon my beautiful 14.5 lb tabby cat was losing weight quickly and wanting to eat constantly. Our vet, Ally Pet in Sammamish, discovered his hyperthyroidism and suggested several options. We chose the radioactive treatment with Dr. Vaughn at Feline HTC in Tacoma WA. I'm still amazed by the great results. Within a couple of weeks the thyroid was shrinking, and soon he started gaining weight. It's been over a year now and he never looked better. His weight is back, he barely sheds at all and he looks much trimmer. He's better than I've ever seen him. I'm so thankful for Dr. Vaughn and the team at Feline HTC. If you happen to be at the same decision point I was, I highly recommend the radioactive treatment eliminating your pets need for a lifetime of medications. Ultimately, it's the less expensive way to go as well. I know since a friend took the medication route for his cat and wished he had gone with the radioactive treatment.

They truly care about your cat! You could immediately tell that Dr Vaughn was a cat person upon entering the room when she got on the floor to calm Chad down. Just full of information on the process, and also cat dietary needs. Vanissa and Jenifer both provided updates and are a pleasure to interface with. Wow!!!! What a neat place to trust your animals to.

Truly impressed with Dr. Vaughan and her practice. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about her speciality. She performed a thorough exam and palpated nodules my regular vet missed. She spent a lot of time talking through the pathophysiology of hyperthyroidism (and how some of my cat’s symptoms might not be explained by the diagnosis - she was right). I’m new to the area and was seeking a new primary care veterinarian, and she helped me get plugged into a fantastic practice that feels like home. I’m happy to report that after the first bloodwork recheck Tiggs’ T4 was normal. Thank you Dr. Vaughan and War Eagle!

Dr. Vaughn and her staff are so amazing and they took excellent care of our 17 year old cat. She seems like an all around great person, as well.
