Thank you Southern Oregon Humane Society! We adopted our wonderful Boy Frodo now Chester about a month ago. We are delighted he is our new beloved dog! He has brought us nothing but joy! Your work to pick the right new member of our family was perfect and much appreciated! Yay!

Super friendly staff, who obviously care a lot for the animals in their care. Came home yesterday with my new best friend and co-pilot, who has been great with my kids and absolutely showering us with love and affection. This doesn't feel like a scared dog who spent the past 2 months in the shelter, it is obvious that he was treated with love and compassion while he was there, and he is thriving in his new home already. Absolutely would make the drive from Roseburg again for our next pup!

My husband went to SOHS to look at getting a new dog. He was informed that he could not walk thru and look at the dogs anymore. How in the world do you pick out a dog over pictures? The reason you walk thru is to get the dogs personality. See if it matches your personality. My husband walked out, therefore they lost the adoption and the money that goes with it.

Super friendly staff that is willing to go out of their way to help you. We were able to to adopt our forever family member. Mando (Andrew) is an amazing puppy that is super smart and kind. Thank you team members at SOHS to make this happen.

Adopted a couple of kittens from them and though it has hardly been a week they have become pretty friendly and playfull with each other. Luna the calico, is super friendly and will take most opportunities of claiming a spot on your lap. Patches the brown and white tabby was a bit on the slower side taking her time but couldn't help but come out and play on her second night. Patches loves getting her pets and attention as long as it currently doesn't evolve being picked up and held (we are slowly working on this, it will take some time) she does really well. This in a way can be expected since we got out, playing and being social sooner than I expected she still needs time to work up to other things like being held. She will still hide under my bed in the bedroom and behind the couch while in the living room due to these still being new areas for her I'm sure with sone time and help from her friend Luna she will get more comfortable as time goes on. So far they both seem to be adjusting to their forever home fairly well.

What a great event. We met some really nice people in line. The workers and volunteers were so helpful. We now are the proud parents of Destiny. Thank you so very much for everything you all do for these critters. Our little girl is the best.
