We started bringing our dog Yukon after his companion passed away. Yukon became sad and not himself for weeks. A coworker referred us to Northwest Pet Redort and oh my gosh it is the best thing we have ever done for our dog. Yukon is a completely different dog and gets so excited when he knows he's going. All we have to do is ask him if he wants to go to school. Thank you, Scott and Ashley for creating such an amazing place for doggies to go play. We truly appreciate you and thank you for your support and donation towards Safe Harbors Human Trafficking here in North Idaho!!

We are new to town, and were really hoping to find a daycare we loved as much as the last one! Unfortunately this is NOT that place for us, if I could give a zero stars, I simply would. My dog, Hardy, went here starting on May 20th for doggy daycare. He is almost a year old golden retriever, and has been in a daycare setting since he was six months old. The first day I picked him up he smelled foul. Dog pee all over his undercarriage and up on his neck/ collar. I was extremely unimpressed- but I let it go because I thought it was just his first day and maybe staff wasn't cleaning very well that day. Brought him home at 6:30pm and had to give him a full bath to get the stench out. Day two was better (May 21st), then came day three (May 22nd). It was a half day this time, I assume who is the owner brought Hardy out to me soaked and said, "Hardy peed on himself today, so I rinsed him off." Hardy is almost a year old. He has stayed in a kennel for 10+ hours, and has NEVER peed on himself. But I just said, "oh weird, okay." Went home and gave him a bath because he needed soap and scrubbed. Then came day four (May 23rd)... This time dad picked him up from daycare, Hardy was drenched and covered in another dogs poop this time. POOP. All in his collar, in his fur, in his paws. He didn't say anything thinking maybe this was an off day for cleanliness with the staff. He was not aware I had already given him two baths within a four day time period- so he went home and gave him a bath for the third time that week. Hardy went back to daycare on Tuesday (May 28th). I went to pick him up at 12:30pm, after waiting 20 minutes for him- a man brought him out DRENCHED. I went to latch my leash onto him and he was COVERED IN DOG POOP AGAIN. The man goes on to tell me, "yeah, he's dirty- he rolled in dog poop." He has been in a daycare setting for six months of his life, and I am not saying my dog is perfect. However, there should NOT be a situation presented for him to "roll in dog poop." And he has NEVER rolled in any "poop" before. I insisted on him being groomed this time because this is the second day, BACK TO BACK he was covered in dog poop. He stayed there all day, when I then had to then leave work early to make it back before closing- he was groomed, but I had to foot the $75 bill. PLUS his collar was not salvageable- smelt so foul, so I then had to spend $21 for a new collar. Plus an all day fee of $22 because he was then there all day. When I came back around 6:15pm, I asked the lady up front what is going on because this is ridiculous. I explained everything to her I just wrote about. She let me know, "I will say the weekend staff did not set us up for success by cleaning up." Which unfortunately isn't an answer for me. The place should be cleaned before animals are taken in for the day, and also this is now our second time covered in poop so it't not the weekend staff, and two other times covered in pee. Then she goes on to tell me we can try to put Hardy in a different pin as the one he is currently in has another dog with medical issues that cannot help going to the bathroom.. She let me know the groomer did a "complimentary teeth brushing, nail clipping, etc." However- I still paid $75 for a grooming fee.. I understand dogs are dogs, and it is daycare- yes. They will get dirty playing and stinky at times. When I drop off my dog I expect them to have clean facility that does not make it easily accessible for my dog to come into contact with feces consistently enough that he would be covered in it when I picked him up. I paid x amount of money every time under the impression they provide a service of taking care of Hardy and unfortunately it was not completed. It is unacceptable they think it’s okay for an animal to be covered in fecea for an unknown amount of time. I have written an email- and not heard anything back. But I will be expressing my concern on Google for hopefully another dog mom/dad to avoid this frustration. The only good thing I have to say is to Ali, who groomed my sweet boy! Thank you, amazing job!

And so ends 9 years of love and friendship and 8.5 of those years were shared with NW Pet resort. We have taken our Casey here since she was 6 months old and have been a very frequent fixture for the entire time. They have loved her like their own and even now as we deal with her cancer and end of life, the staff even continue to check on us while we comfort her at home. We could not have asked for a better environment or caregivers for our furry family member. This place and these people are amazing! To all the staff, thank you for the 8.5 years of amazing and loving care you have shown me and our family. As a business owner who understands the value of great customer service in this day and age, I give them the highest recommendation. Scott and Ashley are amazing and work tirelessly to provide your pets with a safe and loving environment that allows your pets to thrive.

I was hesitant to take my 6 month old puppy to doggie daycare because, she is my little baby. With a long work day, I had too. I filled the vaccinations paperwork at 9:00pm thinking I would have to wait 2-3 days to get approved. But no! The next morning I was confirmed I could drop her off! It was relief how fast they got her in. During the day I was worrying about her, so I text via Facebook how she was doing, within ten minutes someone gave me a long detailed message explaining how much fun she is having and who she is playing with. It was very appreciated knowing my dog was having fun. When I picked her up she seemed happy and didn't want to leave. My only complaint is I wish I could get pictures or videos of my dog playing lol. Otherwise, great place and affordable.

My dog Tucker loves coming here for daycare. The staff is always so accommodating and take special care to wash his paws before he has to get back in the car. They take time to learn each dogs play style and pair them appropriately. Nothing better than a tired dog from a fun day playing with friends.

We bring my family’s two dogs to both daycare and boarding; they absolutely love it here! My family and I appreciates NWPR for always taking care of our dogs and being flexible with us! I highly recommend this place.
