Been coming here for over 20 years. Back then it was fish, cats and dogs that we shopped for. Now it's just cats. They have a good selection of toys, food and grooming accessories. We found our cat's favorite crinkle balls: Yay! Will be back for more of the interactive toys you can add catnip to. We are thinking of adding fish to our family again. This will be our go-to source. Always fun to look at the current population of animals on hand.

We absolutely love this place. The quality of customer service is just beyond exemplary. They are all very kind and helpful. They also have healthy fish. My only regret is not going here first for some fish. They did not make us feel stupid and instead help us understand things. We highly recommend this place for your aquarium needs. Small business with high quality customer service.

Amazing Pet Store! I've never experienced a true mom and pop pet store until Duncan's. I say that because the best restaurants, stores, and places to stay that I have had the opportunity to experience throughout several decades have been smaller family owed and local businesses. Duncan's is one of those places. They are like family. Unfortunately their have been some people who have left with only 1 young man who came back that knows my husband and I as regulars and again have always treated us like family. The new employees are nice and kind and are still adjusting. However, the vibe from Duncan's is working its way through these new employees, and it's nice to see. Duncan's will always be our place to go, and we highly recommend this pet store to everyone we know and meet.

I'm appalled by the utter lack of responsibility and disregard for the safety of both animals and customers at this pet store. They have a store cat that is confrontational towards dogs. It kept following us around. And hissing and swatting at my dog unprovoked. The cat is very lucky that my dog is so chill around other animals. Otherwise, it easily could have gotten bad. When I raise my concerns to the staff, mainly for the cat safety, they didn't care. Furthermore, a staff member brought in their 5-month-old puppy, who was also roaming around the store. The puppy's evident distress, as it repeatedly approached my dog barking and gralling, and its fearful reactions to customers clearly indicate the lack of proper attention. It's appalling that the puppy was not on a leash or attended by any staff in any way. I repeatedly had to body block and use my foot to block the puppy from getting to my dog. I will not be returning to this store and will be sharing my experience with others to ensure they are aware of the risks involved. There's a clear reflection of a serious lack of responsibility by staff at this store. Added is a photo of the puppy that I had to continually block. And advocate for safety for both my dog and the puppy.

I am never disappointed when I visit Duncan's pet shop. I find myself bringing home a new fish to add to my tank and the prices are so much better than anywhere else I have been in the Coeur D'Alene, Spokane area. Not only do they have great prices but they have healthy fish that are available every time.
