Animal Control Jon Beamesderfer informed me today he WILL NOT ENFORCE CITY ORDINANCE: 6.15.050: ANIMALS DISTURBING NEIGHBORHOOD: It is unlawful for any person to keep or harbor any animal which by loud, continued or frequent barking, howling, yelping, meowing, screeching, crowing or other noise, or by noxious or offensive odors endangers the health and welfare or disturbs the peace and comfort of any reasonable person or neighborhood. The provisions of this section do not apply to: A. The animal control impound facility; or B. Veterinary hospitals. (Ord. 3383 §2, 2010) As it relates to the ongoing dogs barking at Dog N It Daycare 2890 N Government Way violating the peaceful and quiet enjoyment of my residence at Lakeside Village apartments. Beamesderfer represents the worst in the City of Coeur d alene in malfeasance of duty.

I had a worker come by my home and give me 2 different citations and say my dog bit someone no investigation to what happened or questions just assumptions then when I asked him when approaching my door to put down his catch pole he had in his hand for no reason he refused and when I asked him to politely step back he did but not without giving me a attitude and further making the situation worse and uncomfortable these employees need to be accountable and if there is not proof or exact evidence you can’t just give someone a citation on here say and say something happened the city needs to handle this and the workers need to understand they don’t get to downgrade people and talk to them like he did me ! leaving this review to draw attention to the issues and hopefully get something changed As I will be going to the city and the mayor if needed

If you use the resource properly, you will see results. Unfortunately, the offender may repeat, but sometimes you call back, sometimes you just give in & hope they drive around your neighborhood with their ears open.

I just want to say they are overworked, but really care about our animals. It’s not a joyful thing to them when they have to issue warnings & citations, or find abandoned, lost, hurt, scared dogs & cats on our streets. Thank you for your hard work.
