I’ve been volunteering and fostering for Piedmont Animal Rescue for many years. They are a wonderful organization, not just to adopt from but to volunteer for. We have a huge Foster base but we’re all like family and help each other. Lucy now Maggie Lu is my first foster fail and almost 7 years. She’s a broken little soul that needs a lot of tender, loving care. She was found on the side of the road with her puppies abandon. All of her puppies have been adopted. We never leave the mom behind. I fostered her and we fell in love with her. Please consider , it saves lives. As you can see, she’s a perfect addition to our pack. She helps me with all my foster puppies. We are so happy to have her as part of our family.

Based on a personal adoption experience I recommend Piedmont Animal Rescue. They are based in Mooresville, NC and often have adoption events in neighboring towns. The available dogs and cats live in foster homes until they are adopted which is a great environment compared to shelters. I had a great experience when adopting an older kitten. I’m certain that the attention she received in the foster home helped develop her loving personality. I’m thankful to have found the perfect companion for my family.

Last week, we adopted Zeus (formally Seuss/Sawyer) from Piedmont Animal Shelter. The appliction process was very easy and I received a response in 1-day. It was great to meet with Zeus's foster mom who answered all our questions and described him perfectly to us. The team of dedicated volunteers at Piedmonst are amazing! Zeus has fit easily into our family, is doing great and bringing us lots of smiles! I highly recommend Piedmont Animal Rescue if you are looking to add a furry friend to your family.

We adopted a wonderful little poodle through Piedmont animal rescue. The process was easy, communication was very good. The staff was up front about this dog’s health problems since she was a stray and let us know as much as possible about her situation. We are amazed at how well she fit into our lives right from the beginning. She has brought us so much joy and we’re so happy that we adopted her!

I would 10/10 recommend trying to find a Best friend forever here first. They are very well taken care of with everything they will need like shots/vaccination's. I personally found my best friend forever for life here and she is wonderful (formally known as Bean now Zola) But please don’t put in applications in if your not serious about adopting it does delay those pets getting adopted greatly. Otherwise this place should be your first stop when looking for a BFF 🐾🤗❤️

We are supporters of this wonderful rescue and foster dogs as well for them. Molly is officially one of our family and we could not be happier. Yes we are failed fosters ! I encourage everyone to adopt a shelter or rescue dog. They will change your life and you can make a difference.
