Description Animal Services works to assure a community with a high rate of animals returned to their homes or natural environments or adopted to loving homes through our City Animal Shelter services. Our Adoption Center is open 10 am to 5: 30 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays. Animal Control services begin at 8 am, 7 days a week.

Friendly staff and easy application process. My daughter saw Tom online and we pick him up same day. It’s safe to say he adopted us not the other way around. We all love him to pieces! Everyone that he has met he loves on and we are so happy to have him as a part of our family!

You can go into the kennels & see all the dogs. Not all of them are completely ready to be your completed animal. You will need to train your dog for a better life between you & your dog. However, while the dogs are @ the shelter they train then on leash & socialize them not only to people, but to other dogs. The Fayetteville Shelter is good @ this for as long as they have the animals. They are always accepting donations & volunteers. You can also help by going & visiting animals that need socializing to people.

This place is wonderful! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and care about the animals. The animals are well kept and their spaces are clean. We adopted two beautiful beagle sisters here and are so thankful for the experience. Would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a furry friend.

This shelter is amazing!! We found two stray puppies and nobody but this shelter helped us. We called doggie daycares, vets, police, UAPD, and so many shelters… since the puppies weren’t “violent” no other shelter signs help. Fayetteville Animal Services were the only ones to help and they even told us if this happens again, we can call and they would pick the puppies up for us!! The staff was friendly and i felt so comfortable dropping the pups off with them. They even gave us their ID numbers to keep up with them in the future.

This organization is willfully and willingly ignoring pet owners coming to claim their pets and proceeding to place and advertise these pets to future owners as viable adoption options. Even with proof of ownership they will not turn the dog over to their correct families. This is a disgraces to public and city offices- I would never adopt from them and will highly recommend and encourage anyone I know to stay far away from them.
